praedet
I searched and didn't find a thread with this link, so I thought I would post it. V8 Engine for the M3 Cool Stuff! 440 hp at 8300rpm with roughly 300 ftlbs at 6500rpm, already developing 260 ftlbs at 2000rpm this is the real cool picture though http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e257/praedet/Fun/Coolheaderpic.jpg

rao
It's red It will be a great car, but they are getting more and more like Honda - great HP at rpms that you will rarely see but where's the torque??? Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
praedet
300ft lbs is not bad, especially 260 at 2k rpm...
rao
300ft lbs is not bad, especially 260 at 2k rpm... It's not bad, but that 440 hp number is deceiving. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
rabydanimal
WTF? That doesn't look healthy. Guess you'll be waiting for the car to cool down before you change the oil on that puppy.
Barrok
It's 420 hp, not 440.
Jedi Pimp
They should have bumped the displacement out a bit to get more torque to maybe 4.5L or 5L
KartRacerBoy
R&T says the new M3 is more of a grand tourer than a sports car, despite the carbon fiber roof, etc. This version of the M3 continues the trend of BMW diluting the M3 to attract the poser (a broader market than the true sports enthusiast). But I bet it will be a blast once the suspension is modifed to get rid of the trend towards more terminal understeer.

And moron forgot to mention that it has salvaged(flood damage-Rita-FTMFW) title :mad: Hey that's why you have them sign a waiver saying that it isn't a flood or damaged salvage title car. If you find out it is, they get to buy it back. That's how my old dealership did it. That and we wouldn't accept a trade that was ever registered in Louisiana after Katrina. Guest subiecity
They also become cherry flavored when they turn red. Next time, put your tongue on one and it'll be the most intense cherry flavor you ever had! well naturally they become red when hot but for normal driving why soo red? neelnug
I think it should still have more torque. (350min) The numbers are very simlar to the new Porsche GT3. Would love to hear this v8 near redline.
