Hey JayMitch, is the port for the vac line on the passenger side 5/8" OD (Outer Diameter) or is it sticking out 5/8" from the intake?

Measured the vac tubes this weekend and they are all 1/2" ID. This makes me wonder because the instructions say to place the tube over the 5/8" port but I don't know if that's 5/8" OD or 5/8" sticking out of the intake port. It definitely is shorter than the driver side's port.

I dont know im gonna have to check. I didnt have to change any thing it all pluged in perfectly. the long hose they give you in the kit is used on the driver side while the passanger side vac line stays the same and just plugs into the intake.

Hey all, finally got my parts tonight. But I won't be installing everything until Saturday morning, after my oil change. It was dark when I got home tonight and I'll be hanging out with my buddies tomorrow night so no install till Saturday. But all the parts seem like they will mate up quite nicely.

For 06, 07 guys, we need to buy extra tubing to hook up the two passenger side vac tubes into a tee that we also need to buy. Then from the tee, we use the extra hose to hook up to the intake.

DISCLAIMER: I am posting the parts list in advance to my install because I know those interested want to know what needs to be bought and how to do it. I take no responsibility if you decide to buy the parts and find out that they don't work or that there is a CEL because you didn't wait to see what happens before I installed mine. I take no responsibility for your actions! I am just stating what I am going to use and going to do/or have done.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program...

Parts you'll need:

  1. A Tee Fitting that has 1/2" Barbs (all three barbs the same size) that can withstand high temperatures. Part number of the one I got from Goodyear is 64089, which is a "Molded heater hose connector". Cost: Approximately $5
  2. Extra hose that has 1/2" ID (Inner Diameter) that can withstand high temperatures, such as heater hose. Part number of the one I got also from Goodyear is GY120236, which is an "E-Z SHAPE Moldable Heater Hose". It's got these two metal things for bending the hose more easily. Cost: Approximately $15
  3. Finally, some extra hose clamps, in the appropriate size. Cost: Approximately $3

Of course, you'll need the intake and if you like, you can also get a Hydroshield to go over the filter element. Parts can be substituted with what you think is a suitable alternative, but again it is your choice and not mine so I take no responsibility. Prices will also vary depending on where you are. Auto parts stores vary in what they carry, as I had to go to 3 auto stores, and 2 hardware/home repair stores to find everything I needed. In the end I bought items from 2 auto parts stores (Autozone for hose and PepBoys for tee, but both can be bought at autozone, in my area at least). Other places I went to are R&S Strauss, Strauss Auto Parts, Home Depot, and Lowes.

Basically, it's like this:

2 vac hoses on passenger side ---> Tee Fitting

Tee Fitting ----> Intake port/bung on the passenger side

Driver's side is the same as in the directions that come with the intake.

Look at JayMitch's previous posts and pics to get a better understanding as his insight was very helpful, you can also find instructions for the intake here if you desire to take a look before buying.

Pics below, enjoy!

EDIT: Minor fitment issue with vibramount in a different location, either don't use it (not recommended) or make a mount for it and help support it somewhat. Look at post 131 for pics and vids.
