FARIS
I like the idea of a sti hatch, but agree with those who said the wing must go a way (looks like some one put a bi-plane on the hatch). Plus the brake light cluster is pretty dang boring. If they had just extended the lights simularly to the g35 it would have been better.
twisted
that front end looks like a smiley face and that wing looks so ridiculous on it.... um and its shorter....like there was plenty of space in the impreza to begin with... cobramatic
seriously, I don't think I ever sat in the back seat of my wrx...I'm 6' 0" ish and it would've been a snug fit to say the least

Old news. Been posted a million times here. Your linky no worky - here's the correct one: http://news.windingroad.com/auto-news/spotted-subarus-new-look-wrx/1458 Article is from September 13 of last year. Edited to add: It might not have been posted quite a million times here, but *at least* a million times over on Nabisco. The 330hp quote is for the Impreza STI. We can only dream that there might be a Legacy STI with similar hp, but it's only a dream at this point.

tintinet
They oughta, at least, give the option of a less ostentatious wing, a la the STI Limited's, IMO.

keepclam
No wagon. Only 5-door hatch body available globally, except for the US, which will also get a sedan body for Impreza & WRX (STI hatch only) in addition to the hatch.
Leonardo
I know from a good source, the new STi wagon won't have a wing like the ones in the renditions. All models will be hatch for the rest of the world but the US will get sedans in the lineup but as base models. Yes, STi is a hatch. The source works for SOA and FHI persons got them in a room, closed the doors and before anything, said, that if they took a pic or a vid, to clear out the desks. So, yes, the model is ready for final production. The it will be close to a Mazdaspeed 3 in size/shape.
keepclam
^OK, here's US the lineup: Impreza: 5-dr hatch & sedan WRX: 5-dr hatch & sedan STI: 5-dr hatch Subaru had too many wagons... essentially 4: Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback. Most manufacturers offer one or none. Too much cross-shopping & marketing mayhem, not enough product differentiation. By dropping a couple of those wagons, they're devote resources to other bodystyles. Outback XT & Forester XT aren't sports cars, no, but there are very strong rumors of STI or "tuned by STI" versions of Legacy & Outback debuting this fall, and Forester STI concept was shown at SEMA. Lowered & very sporting, I wouldn't be surprised if either outhandled a stock WRX wagon. A 5-door hatch is a good compromise... should attract new buyers, and keep many Impreza wagon owners. Those current Impreza wagon owners that just don't find enough utility in an Impreza hatch can move to Forester or Outback.
P06781
I like the sti hatch. Its the best of both worlds between a full wagon and sedan . Jim
VTGT
sti hatch could be cool, but if there is a legacy sti or even a forester sti I would probably buy that instead
AWD_Rules3830
well looks like dual exhaust is going in across the line if anything. I love my car ... basically.
Sponge
This line up is going to work for them! I agree on the too many wagons from a business and marketing perspective but on the other side of the coin as a consumer I like the wagon concept and wish they weren't doing it. When I picked up my wagon a few weeks ago one dealership that couldn't get me the car I wanted was pressuring me to wait a few months for the WRX hatch... But I like the refinement and nicer feel/fit/finish of the Legacy vs. current WRX. We'll see if I reget not waiting... My vB Gallery
FARIS
So can we expect a limited edition of the wrx hatch sti? if so will it truely be limited like last years model or will it be a model option? seeing how fast the limited sold out last year I would think that they would want to make it an option. (insert subaru no options rant here)
IwannaSportSedan
considering the Crossover-UV market is going like nuts, why not 5-door hatch cars, which are basically the same, just a bit smaller. and I wouldn't count photochopped Mazdaspeed 6 Fake exhaust tips as an indicator for dual exhaust... but it might happen. I just wouldn't use that as proof. I just wish they would get on the stick with a sporty coupe that looks good. but that might be too much to ask.
