Silver05LegGTL
Yeah I was a little shocked to find out that the "blue book" on an 05 Legacy GT Limited, 5mt 14200 miles is coming in at a whopping $17k...wow! The 04 STI that I traded in for the 05 Legacy is worth more, like $5k more! Anyway, I am getting more out of it than that but it took some work! I had an 03 Jeep Wrangler that depreciated less than this Legacy... amazing.
wukindada
Were not the worst though.... Before I purchased the LGT I looked @ a 2004 CTS-V with less that 6k miles. 51k new........34k a year later:eek: Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!! jagcars26
A well heeled friend of mine is pricing a Z06,,,around $80 thou if you can find one.He may have to drop back to a reg Vette fr around 50 something. All things being relative it's still a very good deal on a VERY nice car.
wukindada
He can get a 06 Z51 vette loaded for 42-43k down here:) Throw a intercooled supercharger on it & headerback exhaust for about 10k & you have a Z06 killer;) Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!! rallispec
yes, very shocked -- even more shocked by what a dealer offered me for a trade in a year ago. oh well.. plan on holding on to this car so it shouldnt be a problem.
TravisS
Paid $22k for fully loaded GT Limited w/ 29k miles 3 months ago Trade in w/33k miles, depending on who you look at, ranges from $18k (kbb) to $21k (nadaguides) Obviously with so little time between purchase and now that's not really a fair look. But still, what was this car worth new? $26k? $28k? That's hardly any depreciation at all IMO. In comparison I bought my '01 Accord for $17.5k and traded it in 5 years and 110k miles later for $4k... talk about depreciation!
praedet
Mine is worth $3K less than I paid if I trade it in.... Only about $1K less if I sell it, and then I can sell my mods too... After a year and 20K miles, I think that is REAL good... Ted

After a year and 20K miles, I think that is REAL good... Ted That's about where I would be also. It's not that bad and I have 30k on my '05 GT LT MT w/spoiler and other stock goodies. I REALLY don't get it when people put $17k as the value of this car. I just plugged in Silver's numbers and it says $22.9k for Private party excellent. $17k is for Trade-in Fair value. THAT'S NOT THE TRUE VALUE OF OUR CARS!!! That's if you want to be taken by a dealer. Come on, I know they drop in the first few years but it just ain't that bad as people make it out to be...
