ehsnils
I've got a question that would be good posted here. I don't want to buy a bike rack just for the 1 bike I have. To those without racks, do you have any trouble fitting them either behind the seat or in the trunk? With the quick disconnect I can have the wheel off in no time, I'm just wondering how easy it is to jam one somewhere in the car. I have a bike rack that goes on the trailer hitch. Just two bars to hang the bike on.
Bolksey85
Somebody want to tell me when it's gonna warm up so I can ride again? Especially on the weekends when I have nothing to do.
kevkel33leg05
Happy i found this. I have a trek 8000 with disc brakes. I was out of riding for a few years until this summer. At my parents house they have a bunch of woods for riding. Anyways me and my buddy were pushing it hard over the summer. I ended up cutting the front of my right leg really bad by a pricker bush out of all things. It was a huge pricker bush. When i say really bad first it happened and i knew i cut something but i look down and i just saw my bone. I said no no call over to my friend and I'm like "yo does it look bad"? He Immediately runs over saying "Kevin take off your shirt" so i do that and he ties it around my leg really tight. I walk back to my house and keep saying to myself "it cant be that bad". We look at it in my garage real quick and both realize alright its time to go to the hospital. I don't know how i did it but i ended up driving myself in my 5MT to the hospital but my friend was with me. I felt fine. Anyways i got to sit in the hospital for 6 hrs with my leg cut wide open. My g/f shows up and thinks I'm just being a wimp. So i finally agree to show her and i don't even get the shirt all the way off my leg she just see the beginning of it and almost throws up lol. Finally i get a bed in the hospital and see the doctor. All the sudden everyone on staff is in my room looking at it. There was a young male nurse on and was very interested in my cut. I can hear the doctor saying to him "yea there is his vain that's his nerve" i finally had him show me that stuff. It was crazy. They cleaned it out 4 times which was unbearable and then they go "OK well we have to staple it up". He gives it 4 staples real slow right in the front of my shin. I go "oh cool that wasn't to bad". Then he goes "5,6,7,8,9,10,11" really fast. That hurt. I say "oh OK so i have 11"? and boom hits me with one more and says "nope 12" I was on crushes for a week. Thankfully no long term affects from this but just in that area in my leg cant really feel anything. I have pictures but I'm not going to post them unless people really want to see them at your own risk lol.

Scotty
Somebody want to tell me when it's gonna warm up so I can ride again? Especially on the weekends when I have nothing to do. It was 65 degrees here on Sunday. Perfect weather for a bike ride. I went to a pistol shooting match instead of riding.
Bolksey85
It was 65 degrees here on Sunday. Perfect weather for a bike ride. I went to a pistol shooting match instead of riding. We were warm here, too, but all the snow and ice melting turned the roads into a floodway everywhere. Otherwise, I was tempted just for a quick run around the block but told myself there will be plenty of Spring and Summer months ahead.

mattg
got some new wheels for my bike. these are the newest version of what I had. Last season I broke 4 or 5 spokes on my back wheel. I ride hard and I'm ~ 200lbs but something else had to be up for me to be breaking spokes like that. Transition sold me a new set at cost. These are super thin, only 25mm. I was wondering if my 2.5 rear tire would fit, but it did. http://www.transitionbikes.com/images/Gallery_RevolutionAMWheelset08.jpg

Boulderguy
X-country mainly. Anything short of all mtn really, the wheels can't handle big drops. Picture_Shooter
Sup guys ===> I finally stripped most of the components off my FS Ibex Asta Comp and used it to build my 29'er HT I like FS, but something about HT it is faster and I eat corners like no tomorrow. Unlike the FS, I endo'd alot no matter how much I pulled back. Either way, 29'ers rock! Also I changed the FSA crank to a Stylo w/ 170mm crank arm and honestly much harder to climb now, but I like the fact it is little lighter, it has a rock-guard. My steel 29'er: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/hifi_homeboy/Rocky%20Hill%20Ranch%202009%20Jan/P1050838.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/hifi_homeboy/Rocky%20Hill%20Ranch%202009%20Jan/P1050828.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/hifi_homeboy/IBEX/P1030333.jpg

c-lo
i finished my first full season of cyclocross and I'm hooked hard. I still love doing the solo 12 hour and 100 mile, and short mtb races but my passion is cross now. anyone who knows cross you'll notice in the pic I dismount on the drive side. not sure why, but I'm more comfortable doing it this way. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
