How are you going to attach the boxes so that they stay in place? Velcro on the bottom, bracket, etc? For permanent mounting they can me screwed down through the bottom or bolted. If you want to bolt them you will have to remove two bolts off of the back of the mufflers and drop them. It's a pain but there wasn't much to grab on too. I'm going to drill a hole through each box and weld a threaded rod to the bottom of the trunk floor. That way I can just slide a nut and washer over the bolt and tighten. This eliminates holes in the car. I droved my car today for about a half hour down some twisty NH roads and the boxes never moved a inch. (They are still loose) They fit nice and snug. SUPERBU Posted June 18, 2006 Share Posted June 18, 2006 We calculated the internal volume with a bunch of packing peanuts and a 1 cubic foot sub box. The volume is .75 c/ft. It's perfect for the JL line-up. For some reason the Subaru trunk has a slightly different color carpet. The carpet we used is called "trunk liner" and usually looks perfect.
