  1. Sorry. I was talking about 4th gen GT's. You are right on the 2.5i's. Tons of those.
  2. I did a double take because I hardly ever see any 4th gens anymore. Certainly not any orange ones! He was driving by Sam's club and Walmart.
  3. Spotted an orange 4th gen lowered on black rims in Hudson, NH. Looked nice. I was in the dirty white 3.6R, hiding with my head down, wishing I still had my GT.
  4. I wanted to show my son another LGT like mine but he had just left with his grandmother. We all had dinner at Friendly's. I didn't notice you were behind me. Too bad I had to run.
  5. I think I saw 05.GT.RYAN ^^ at Friendly's in Haverhill last night. If not he had an exhaust, yellow fogs, and stickers on the rear windows. You pointed and I pointed back. Ha Ha If I wasn't in a hurry I would have said hello.
  6. Almost 1000 posts and no solution. I'm amazed that we have people that can swap the 2.5L for a small block V8 but we can't solve a noise issue. Anyway.... I have information to add to the discussion. When I have 3 or more people in my car, I have the clunking noise regardless of how fast I take off. It's really bad when I start off on a hill. The extra weight really adds stress to the problem. The noise duration also increases as I pick up speed. clunk.............clunk..........clunk.....clunk....clunk..clunkclunkclunkclunk That is pretty much 0-35mph^^
  7. I don't have a smart phone or I would take a video for you. It doesn't make the sound under normal driving. It's only when you are hard into 1st + 2nd gear and usually when the cold weather arrives. It's like a rapid clunking in the rear end.
  8. Damn... I have a white GT, debadged, Thule roof rack, and a Specialized Stumpjumper but that's not me! Spotted an 05 white 2.5i on Rt 93N around Concord today. You pulled up and gave me a wave. Also spotted a 4th gen Spec B with chrome rims at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
  9. Man if you guys think it's loud inside the car...... I swapped vehicles with my mom this weekend and she likes to have fun in my car. I watched her take off in first gear and "SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP." The end of my driveway is over 150 ft away and I heard it loud and clear.
  10. I just upgraded my clutch to an Excedy setup and a light weight flywheel. Now the clunking in the rear is much worse! Am I losing my mind?? It's a possibility. I'm guessing the motor rev's a little quicker now with the LWFW and the clunking issue is not happy with it. Last night the temp was 24 deg outside and I punched it from a stop. (turning right) The car launched hard and felt great but I thought the rear end was going to break!
  11. As usual..... The noise was non-existant all summer long and returned on the first cold morning. I took off hard in 1st and "thump thump thump" from the back. I've adapted to the noise at this point but now I'm concerned with the hissing sound coming from the clutch area.
  12. The Toyo's only have 5K miles on them so they were nice and sticky. The Blizzak's grab the snow and that's about it. They have terrible traction on dry pavement but are unstopable in the snow. This is my second set of snow tires and I never had the noise before. At first I thought the shop may have forgot to add the rear diff fluid. I freaked out a little until I read the forum and saw I wasn't alone. I guess I'll have to see if the noise goes away in the spring with the tire change. The downside is it will be warmer so not an exact comparison. The car has much more torque in this cold dry air.
  13. I only have one thing to add. I did NOT have this noise until last week when I had 4 things done to the car. 1. New snow tires. 2. New plugs 3. New belts 4. New diff fluid F+R. The car now does it when I get on it hard in 1st gear. The car did not have the problem before last week. 68K miles.
  14. #1) What tire are you offering for review: Toyo Proxes 4 (215/45/17) Paid $124.00 per tire at Town Fair Tire. I wanted 225's but they were not in stock and I have no patience. #2) What is your geographic location: Southern New Hampshire #3) What types of driving events if any: None #4) Percent of highway vs. city driving: 95% country back roads with about 4 minutes of highway everyday. #5) Tires used previously: Stock RE92, Nexen N3000 #6) Your review and personal comments: These are for summer only. I use Blizzak's in the winter. I have had the tires for about 1500 miles and I'm very impressed. I have pushed the car to the edge of my comfort level and it just begs for more. I have not managed to break traction in wet or dry weather. The down side: Once I get above 60mph on the highway they sound like truck tires. I think my Blizzaks make less noise. Between the Thule bike rack and the Toyo's I sound like a 747 ready to lift off. But the sound system solves that problem. The other downside; they are very soft and sticky so I don't expect to get many miles out of them. I knew that in advance though.
  15. Spotted a black LGT sedan with an aftermarket exhaust in the parking lot of "The Workout Club" in Salem, NH. This would have been last week. I just now remembered to post it.
  16. Last weekend I drove down to Daytona Beach for the NASCAR Pepsi 400 and I spotted this LGT from NH on Rt 95 North. I pulled up beside you and gave the thumbs up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/RC-NUT/SubaruNH1.jpg
  17. I thought the NE Dragway meet was on Oct 21st??
  18. Spotted a regal blue LGT sedan in Kingston, NH at a soccer game. Also spotted a red LGT sedan in Exeter/Hampton near the "Old Salt" restaurant. Sunday around 1:00pm.
  19. White LGT sedan at Home Depot in Plaistow, NH Sat 8-27. That's the first white one I have seen in NH besides mine. It had MA plates.
  20. Hampstead NH I see a silver LGT sedan and a black LGT sedan at least once a week near Rt 111 in Hampstead. Usually near Hannaford Market. Neither of them have spoilers. On Friday 8-19 I saw a red LGT sedan with a spoiler in Derry, NH. I gave the thumbs up.
