Scottydunno
I'm kinda surprised to see roots in Honda. I figured most of y'all started in cars like Camaros and Mustangs.. I started in an 85 Dodge Daytona, non turbo, base model. Grew to a V6 5spd ES model, then eventually to the Shelby I have.. Scotty

DoctorDaveLGT
01 Celica GT -> 87 Buick Park Ave -> 04 Lincoln Town Car -> 96 Lincoln Mark VIII -> 87 Nissan 300ZX -> 94 Cadillac Seville -> 01 S2000 and then 05 LGT. I didn't have much choice in the time period between the Celica & 300zx. My Dad was constantly buying and selling cars and I just took what I could get since I was in college. I do miss that Mark VIII though. Black ext/int with a dark tint and black dice accents on the lock pulls.
Nonamedude
I was just never a big domestic fan. All the really cheap 90s 00s domestics seemed to be well, really cheap. Had problems bad gas mileage. Civic was the first car I got to make a decision to buy but I wanted something that would last forever. Obxt was the first time I could buy something "nice and fun" 89 grand wagoneer>99 cavalier (engine blew in 1500 miles)> whatever family vehicle was available > 99 civic. Nonamedude
I actually didn't like wagons. I was all about sedans. My buddy had an 87 subaru gl wagon manual for his first car and I thought it was so ugly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nonamedude
Some of you are older than I thought, or have crippling car addictions, or both. I'm pretty pretty sure the average age on this board is pretty high. Which is why this community isn't terrible lol. But I don't think there's many very active people below 30, and I'm pretty sure a few are in their 50s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Max Capacity
6 cylinder Maxima wagon? with the same engine as the 300z? Oh god, that was many years ago. When we found out we were pregnant, the ZX got traded in... just checked the Wikipedia, yes same V6 I had a flower delivery job in college. The boss gave me his v6 wagon for a delivery vehicle. I used more than a tank of gas a day and used up the tires in a month. Once the accountant ratted me out, I got an anemic isuzu diesel pickup. I remember being on the Honda tech forum in the mid 00s when I got my civic and it was filled with people like me. 18yo's who could manage to buy a 2-4k car that was cheap to work on. The lgt was never meant to be that platform. I imagine the average owner is still around the same age because now late 20-30 yo can afford an 8-12k car or can afford to put 10k into rebuilding these. I stumbled onto a thread there earlier this year where someone had purchased the other Civic like we were building and had a question about the other set of Rob Moore Nitro Driveline axles we had made. There was only two sets made. That forum was pretty good back in the day. DadBod
What made you want to switch from Ford to LGT? Loved the Fiesta, but had a baby on the way and my wife refuses to learn to drive a manual. I still browse for them from time to time. Old co-worker of mine has a 2016 that has nearly the full Montune catalog on it. That thing rips.
