Max Capacity Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Notice the difference in the wood grain trim in the outback on the dash. I like the front lip on the Legacy. Do you have to have a front plate in your state ? 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. NewSubieLegacy Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) I think the wood grain trim is the same in both Outback/Legacy - under bright flash it is more obvious than usual. Yes, in Colorado we have a front plate. I like that the contrast stitching does NOT contrast much on the gray leather. Edited November 6, 2017 by NewSubieLegacy
NewSubieLegacy Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I am reserving judgement until I have owned it a while, but I had wanted the carbon fiber trim in the Sport.
Max Capacity Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 That carbon fiber might look nice. Yea we're supposed to have a front plate too. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Pilot1226 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 These look great. I like that the grey doesn’t have blue shades like my Graphite Gray. My first choice will be Black/Black but if there is an inventory problem I would be happy with Magnetite/Black
Pilot1226 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Here are some pics Ice did you get the gray or black interior? I might go for Mag & Black
IcEWoLF Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I went with the grey interior, there were 2 3.6R's in the lot, one was the 50th anniversary edition with the dark interior but hated the exterior sky blue color. The grey interior on the dark legacy looks neat imo.
Pilot1226 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Yeah I didn't care for the Heritage Blue either. It was cool, distinct, just not for me.
IcEWoLF Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Here are pics with the door edge guards and side moldings:
IcEWoLF Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 (edited) Here are some pics with full detail. 3 stage detail. The whole front is clear bra (xpel) also the whole rear bumper is clear bra. The headlights have clear bra too. But I wish the whole headlight was clear bra but they did just the front, the sides were a bit tough to do because of the angle. Xpel is a heavier film so its a bit rough when bending. clay/polish/seal. Usually the clay wasn't necessary on a new car, but opted to just do it. Also I replaced the OEM tires with the Continental DWS 06, makes a world of a difference in ride quality and performance in rain and light snow. Tomorrow its going back to the dealership to get the remote start installed. Edited March 7, 2018 by IcEWoLF
IcEWoLF Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 (edited) Next thing is to get the ugly USDM grille outta there and get the JDM grille installed. $405 is a hard pill to swallow. zZz Lastly in the next few weeks I will be looking at a shop to vinyl wrap the window trims to a gloss black. Pilot1226 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 The grille should be here next week. Any reason in particular you went with MGM over CBP or any of the other colors? I'm torn. I love Black, so hard to keep clean, and I've seen a Leg 3.6 in MGM around here, not sure if from my town or not.

Problem with black is scratches and imperfections will show a lot more. As you mentioned its gonna be a PITA to keep them clean. Also swirls and other stuff will show more on black. This time around I was actually considering going with the crimson red pearl but none of them around here are 3.6R and didn't want to wait to order it from the factory, plus I was getting a pretty good deal on my fully loaded leggy. Now if you were to get whole front end of the car clear bra and full hood then I think you would be okay with black.

Hi, where did you order the grille?

IcEWoLF Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Here is the baby, had the chrome edges deleted with Avery Dennison vinyl wrap, they took the grille apart so they could do a proper wrap, they separated the chrome from the black. Overall it looks fantastic! 1
cwiggin Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Man that grill looks awesome, completely changes the look
IcEWoLF Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 On the above pic it looks a bit flat, but it’s really gloss. 1
