Brock Samson
Can't remember if this was mentioned earlier, but the plastic endcaps on the radiator are suspect and will crack. This is more commonly reported on WRX's, but same problem. Mine cracked at 120k and its a lot easier to replace during a regular coolant swap (or timing belt) and a good radiator is maybe $80. outahere
A cracked oil pickup tube can lead to loss of oil pressure and engine damage. Multiple threads about it here and at other Subaru sites. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/oil-pickup-tube-failures-important-78603.html?t=78603&highlight=KillerB
awfulwaffle
Akasa's probably not active in this community anymore, as he sold me his wagon a couple of years back. Can a mod add the suggestions that followed to the original thread?

ViceGt34
Brand new to the forum, just naught my first LGT it’s a 2005. I had it looked over and got the go ahead on it but I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer for me or lead me in the right direction. I’ve noticed a faint squeal/whine whenever I’m driving but it seems to go away as soon as I depress the clutch. Is this sign of a major issue or does anyone know of a cause for this?
