  1. So my warranty is over and time to have some fun. I have posted a few pics up in other threads but decided I would just create my own with how much I plan to do to this car. When I bought the car new I loved it but left much to be desired in the form of handling, get up and go, and the audio. I have already started with this project and will update as I complete each step. I am trying to take extra pics as I do my installs especially the audio how and where I ran wires, the custom tweeter mounts, and what not. So if anyone has questions I might be able to help. 2. I had a similar issue with my Batt dying on a diff car when I worked less then a mile from work. It didn’t charge enough on the drive compared to the draw my system had. I would jump it all the time with a batt pack. I started taking it for an extended drive once a week to help keep the batt up no garage to plug it in overnight in my case. That long drive weekly solved my problem. ————————————————— HPS intake, SSD Front Strut bar, Cusco Rear Strut Bar, Voxx 18” rims, More to come...
  3. That’s one real cool steering wheel where did u get it? HPS intake, SSD Front Strut bar, Cusco Rear Strut Bar, Voxx 18” rims, More to come...
  4. I got them off eBay they are aluminum and install with 3m double sided. They feel well made and click in nicely with the tape. I’ve only driven it once with them and allows me to shift while holding the wheel in a more comfortable position. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372765708543
  5. Got 18" Voxx Rims installed today w/ some nice summer tires & put on my Blue Paddle Shifters... Designing a sub box now for when my Kappa speakers and sub come in.
  6. You probably shouldn’t use the stock wire for the dash tweeters or you won’t be able to use crossovers I’d recommend running the wires. In 2 weeks I’ll be installing a full infinity kappa system running all new wires I’ll let u know how much of a pain it is when I’m done. I still need to see where to drill though anyone got a pic of the firewall in and out of their amp wire?
  7. Thanks a bunch man I would love a unit like that sadly it’s pc only and my laptops a Mac... love the parametric eq but u have given me hope being able to use the stock eq and amp settings I should be able to get the sound I’m looking for. Now time for lots of research been at least a decade since I made an audiophile grade car system.
  8. I checked out apex and it looks like the alternators are build to order I was wondering how much yours cost? On a side note I still need to run power through the firewall for amps and was wondering if you could post a pic of where you drilled. Preferably a pic from the engine as well as by the pedals figuring I’ll most likely be drilling out from inside the car.
  9. Great info I’ve been looking up speakers for a while now I’ve got a question to those that have added amps for there speakers with stock head units if any of u have that is. When running the line level converters are you able to still use the EQ of the stock head unit. This would be a deal breaker for me if this can’t be done. I did see Rockford Fosgate makes a converter app driven w a bunch of settings but the app isn’t stable. New head unit would loose the extra settings to our light systems and whatnot. So then if we can’t go use the EQ the next step would be to have a head unit in the armrest which I did once a long time ago in a car that’s long gone.
  10. I don’t have in the pic but I put the front air damn back in to direct more fresh air. I did think about the cold air but was afraid of sucking up any water with the roads around here. The rear strut is the Cusco got it on eBay for $180. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F233188364851 All in all the front strut bar was an amazing addition for cornering. The rear I only lightly tested it’s raining but seems more stable. The intake is quiet @2000rpm and has a really nice tone wot. Next up for me now is a rear sway still need to read up in that I see people here do 19, 20, and 22mm sway bars... and the nameless axle back exhaust w muffler
  11. OK so today my ram air intake and rear strut bar came in. The intake wasn't for a 2016 but works fine except for the heat shield only can bolt into one spot. I have a fix in mind if i bend a part of it and get a bolt thats prob 6" or so I would be able to make it a little more stable. Way to late to go to home depot though... The intake itself is solid. The rear strut bar was really just a tedious install being in the trunk for soo long while I tried to keep my cuts as small as possible. The wires in the back go to a little powered woofer I created a wire harness for until I can get a real system in.
  12. I always hated my tan interior so I ordered replacements from my local dealer. Got online some blue accents, seat covers, leds, cup holder accents, front strut bar.... and when I was done my car wouldn’t start left my doors open too long and drained my old dying battery so after a jump got a red top. I plan on painting some of my interior parts I still have a few cans left of world rally blue that I used on parts for a show car I had a decade ago. Mods to come include a ram air intake, rear sway, rear strut def will need advice on those 2. Want to put a sub in as well gonna design a custom setup for it. Not sure how to post pics so I linked em from my google drive
