  1. I got blue led strips which were under $20 added a blue switch I had on hand tapped into the power for the armrest cig adapter. It was real easy and far less cost for a brighter light instead of the $100+ kit that’s what 1 led per side. I’ve got pics in my thread of the switch and all. I put the switch on the same plastic as the shifter. Yeah it prob adds 15 min to the install but the savings is well worth the task. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  2. Thanks for the tips guys I guess I’ll deff be standing first. For the covers that site is awesome I wonder what the cost would b though. A 2 tone black blue would be sick. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  3. Update still have a faint whine from the alternator. Think I will revisit that ground and actually sand that part of the chassis it’s bolted too. If that doesn’t work next step is the in line noise isolator. It all came back when I took the ground loop isolators out but they weren’t allowing my speaker amps to turn on with auto sence. So maybe I run a rem and keep em on or I might try buying new ground loop isolators cuz the ones I was using were miss matched from my box of wires in my basement. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  4. Not this year at least. If I do upholstery it will be costly cuz I will need to replace the bottom of the seats with black, then door panels as well. So maybe next year I’ll see if it’s in budget. I’d consider showing my car if I did. Deff not showing it w my seat covers. I’m gonna look into those seatbelt covers you got though they look great. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  5. I hear ya man I’m waiting for summer to do my painting. As for the switches I went reg black over my tan ones and plan to paint the tan blue anyways. Past that yeah ur right it basically is all custom at this point. Only things I’m missing that I can buy is coil overs/airbags, new alternator which I don’t need, and maybe those pullys but I don’t believe the hp gain would be worth the cost for those. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  6. Pats4life u are the man had a few min between the rain stoping to run a 4awg from the alternator top left bolt that holds the alternator cover to the left side of the chassis. Did a test run with the car and zero alternator noise. I’ll do another test on my way to work sat with ac and whatnot on to increase load but I have a feeling you were right on the money. I’m prob gonna take the ground loop isolators out so I have less breaks in the signal and hopefully the noise doesn’t come back. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  7. I tried one of those cans on an old maxima that wasn’t blowing cold air. Needless to say it didn’t work. Took it to the shop they said it needs to be properly drained and re filled in order to work right so did it and worked for years after. Of course that is if the issue isn’t electric for u. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  8. Awesome I will do that tomm thanks for the advice ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  9. ok so I'm running outa stuff to do to the car at this point..... Just got a chrome cover in the mail today for the side mirror control. Side note re-tuned the system for more power which in turn showed up some alternator noise. Ensured I sanded the chassis where the cap is grounded..... added ground loop isolators to both rca runs from the LOC. Helped a bit but still there. I wish my original power noise filter that i installed didnt break on me cuz that thing did work. dont buy axxees brand its really cheaply made. When I took it apart only 1 strand of the power wire was soldered in place. I know I could of fixed it myself but with that issue who knows what others it may have. Tryen to find a good quality one online. Wish RadioShack was still around.
  10. General rule is 1 farad per 1000w rms. It doesn’t hurt to go higher though. In my situation I went 5 farad which is more than needed but the one I choose has a built in distribution block. I also loved the idea of a voltage and amperage readout. https://ds18.com/products/infinite-5-farad-extreme-ion-capacitor-station-with-digital-voltage-amperage-display ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  11. I forgot to add before but my battery died before I started doing my system install so I put in a higher cold crack battery which would be another thing to consider rather then putting 2 battery’s in. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  12. I prefer a capacitor that can match the draw of the amps at peak. This way when your system is cranked and hits hard the cap can give you that extra power you need in a smaller size then an extra battery. The extra battery is great when there are lots of big subs and amps in the trunk. Plus it’s a little more of a pain cuz it won’t discharge like a cap will so then you look into marine switches to add to the circuit or when you drop the car off for service and they remove the battery leads from under the hood that positive would still be hot. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  13. Ask Grnlantern or look up the thread he made. I think it was apex can’t remember but it’s in the forum guess it’s build to order. I almost went with one but after the system and big3 I don’t have any light dim issues and my amp meter shows I’m in line with what the car puts out as is. But hey if u want it do it just means u have more amps to do more cool stuff. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  14. I had a car once that I rolled out like you did and wouldn’t start. Ended up being the steering wheel had to be turned enough to lock in place then it started. Hope it’s as simple for u. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  15. I have the hps short ram I like how it looks (went with blue) and the sound. Only issue is heat shield only mounts to 1 point so it can move a little I used a 4” angle bracket to a screw point on the chassis to fix. If u go with that check my car thread for pics. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  16. When I was looking at that kit I believe it said to use the hazard wires. Also I’m pretty sure there was a pdf file for this on the subi parts site. When I ran my lights which were a fraction of the price cuz I got led strips I wired them to the 12v adapter in the armrest and have the switch by the shifter so I have a choice if on or not while driving. For figuring out which wire is power and ground just use a multimeter if it show +12v your touching the correct wires. If it shows -12v your backwards. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  17. Finally finished my big3 thanks Pats4Life for the advice on the alternator run. I ended up using 0awg wire with a 100amp fuse. Noticed better idle and a cleaner audio experience. A inexpensive solution that’s very worth while. My grounds I already ran a month or so ago 0awg as well 2 from diff points on the engine to chassis and 1 from neg on battery to chassis. I know I didn’t need the extra engine ground but I had the wire so why not. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  18. Did it pop off racing or daily driving? Your starting to make me worry and consider going back to stock.... Last thing I want is it to pop off on my hour drive to work ruining my engine in the process. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...

  20. A boat load of small wires are in it which you will see for yourself when looking from under the dash when I pushed through from under I pushed left and up as it seemed to have a little more room away from those wires. Just get a finger up there and feel around you will know what I mean. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  21. I feel ya on the research there is just some info that isn't showing in the forum search or anywhere else for that matter or at least not labeled as it should. In the pic below under the strut bar there is a grommet circled in green. I used a special tool to poke a hole from under the dash through it. This way there is less of a chance of scuffing a wire. Once the tool was in and through I used it as leverage to cut with a blade to widen the hole I made. You will find the grommet up above the accelerator If you have issues finding it from the inside let me know I can take a pic of the area when I get out of work tomorrow. 22. Good to know it’s easy to take the side vents out. Think I might paint mine blue this summer. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
  23. The vents in the center console pop out easy just use a plastic pry tool I started in the right side of it and it comes clean out. The side vents I haven’t removed. The shifter on the other hand is a few steps. Pull off the small plastic parts to the left and right of the cubby. Then remove the rubber bottom in the cubby. Then pry up from where to cubby ends to pull the shifter plastic up. Be mindful in order to fully do this you will have to be able to shift the car safely and of course have a flat head ready to remove the plugs from underneath. ————————————————— HPS intake, Nameless Axleback Exhaust, SSD FSB, Cusco RSB, 20mm rear sway bar, Voxx 18” rims, Infinity Kappa system, More to come...
