  1. I guess mine is on the list since it also had the in tank fuel pump recall done. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. Probably the same parts as the 2016 on the 2020+. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. I assume when you let a valet park your car they are already in possession of your key fob and could just press that button instead? Never used a valet. If the above is not the case there is one more way, by popping the switch out and unplugging it (if it has its own separate plug). But on top of all that people can just lay the seats down from the cabin and get in the trunk anyways. I guess in modern cars you theoretically can't lock anyone in the trunk anymore vs older cars. My 2000 VW Jetta has the ability to insert the key into the rear seatbacks and lock them in place so they can't be folded down to gain access to the trunk. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. Have you tried to re calibrate your throttle? Here is a link, doesn't take long and is worth a shot. https://www.subaruoutback.org/index.php?posts/6045751 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. And they have tunes for the Ascent which is a fat pig compared to a Legacy, same transmission and all. I guess they are dragging their feet since the Legacy and Outback are lesser markets vs the WRX. Ascent probably got tunes since it was the first with the 2.4T. Hope I'm wrong but then again I wouldn't tune mine if all it does is grenade the transmission. I'd go back to manual transmission cars or dual clutch. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. I'd say that the 3.6r exhaust from 2015-2019 should also fit. The mufflers from my 2020 2.4T are the same as the ones I had on my 2005 GT. Subaru seems to be a master of reusing parts over and over again. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Turbos aren't what they used to be, much more reliable these days. And even the "older" ones didn't just pop every 100k. I had a 2000 Golf TDI with 475k km on the first turbo, now over 500k km and still kicking. The possibility of a CVT failure is much higher if I had to place a bet. And it can't take anymore power either as seen by Cobb's struggle to release a tune for the 2.4T Legacy and Outback. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. It's that time of the year again. Popped on the winter tires. Forgot how noisy they are[emoji51]. Tempted to switch to some Michelin X-Ice but those Winterforce ones still have tons of life left. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. I would be tempted if Canada had those ridiculous high used car prices as well but I seems like my limited GT already lost around $9k in a year. Probably even more as a trade in. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. The XT will basically feel the same but with quite a bit more get up and go. If there was a sport model with the 2.4 it would be perfect. I would just go for a test drive and see if it's worth it. If the new WRX had the dynamic chassis control in all trims or at least in a manual trim level it would be quite appealing. Maybe they'll change their minds by the time you can actually buy one Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Nice, what are you getting next? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. And yet you are the only one with that problem... Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. Fuel theft must be rampant in your area if people push on your door that often. Never noticed it on mine I'll have to give it a try if it actually opens as soon as you unlock the car or if yours is in fact a glitch. Edit: Just tried it and mine popped open too, not sure how you would defeat this "feature" short of pulling the fuse that controls the filler door lock.
  14. Don't think there is a way without creating a massive Xmas tree on your dash. The ABS fuse/ relay would come to mind. I wish there was a way to turn more of those things completely off, traction control would be one of them to allow more fun in winter. But even with it "off" it's still on. My next car will be a step back in time to around 2016 where less nanny's exist. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. You guys south of the border are still pretty spoiled with fuel prices. Just regular 87 where I live in Canada is $5.63 a gallon (Canadian $) and up to $6.50 for 94 with no ethanol. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. Having a turbo nowadays is no reason for higher fuel grade anymore. Comes up all the time and seems hard to accept for people somehow. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. That would be correct. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. I never tried it but even with Android auto you get some silly readout of what it thinks you said. If we ever get this new update that's been promised for a while maybe it'll address your issue too, who knows. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Nice, any noticeable wind noise with the rain guards? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. What engine was in the A7? Did you test drive the 2.4 turbo before going with the 2.5? Toying around with the idea of switching back to something older sometime and the A7 TDI would be a perfect candidate. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. It shows it in detail on how to get it off in the owners manual. There is little pictures. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. Open the trunk, remove the two screws next to the taillight, cover pops off then two more screws and the whole taillight comes off to get access to the bulbs. It's kind of like a pickup taillight. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. Was even hotter here a while ago, it was 42 Celsius but my oil temperature never went above 94 Celsius at the same speeds as yours. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  24. Don't have that driver monitoring thing in my Canadian Limited turbo but I read before to disable it truly to put a strip of dark window tint across it and the problem is solved. Even if it resorts to turning itself back on it can't see you. Black electrical tape would probably work even better and easier to install and remove. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
