  1. Yeah I read that a few times. A bunch of people w different answers. Vacation pics show to tap into the top line closest to the front for the pressure test. This is where it says to put it but other guys are talking about the return line. Which is bottom of the stack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Can a bad front o2 sensor cause lean at wot but not during regular driving? My tuner had me smoke test. Found nothing. I am checking fuel pressure tomorrow but he sent me the second map and wanted me to datalog and see if it was different. I never made it out of the garage. As soon as I started the car I got a cel for non communicating front o2 sensor. I have one on the way but I am wondering could that starting to fail the day before have caused it to go lean. Also would it cause soot? When I started the car at the time of the o2 failure. It shot soot all over the garage floor. I’ve never had any soot before. Obviously it’s from what’s going on w the a/f but wouldn’t that mean it was rich not lean? Idk maybe I’m wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Alright thanks. My gauge comes tomorrow so hopefully it tells me something Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So my tuner says I have a lean condition. Told me to smoke test. I did that and came up with nothing. Next he wants a fuel pressure test. So I ordered a test kit and it should be here tomorrow. He says I should be looking for a 1:1 ratio with manifold pressure while going to full throttle. So from my understand I should tee into the feed line after the reg on my fuel. Mount my gauge so I can see it and then monitor manifold absolute pressure on my accessport. So if I get 45 psi let’s say on the fuel pressure gauge then I should see 45 psi absolute manifold pressure while increasing throttle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So all that is needed to be done is tee into the feed line after the reg? Warm up the engine and the. Test under throttle? Or do you need to actually test this while driving? My tuner wants me to test fuel pressure relative to manifold pressure 1:1 at full throttle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I don’t think it was rebuilt. Just in good condition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hmmm not great news. Just got it. The shaft has absolutely no play and the wastegate seats nicely and opens smooth as butter. It doesn’t really seem too worn other than that one area. I just don’t see any way of remedying it. Unfortunately it is a moving part so I can’t even plug it w anything. Well. I guess I’ll run w it as is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just wanna make sure we are talking about the same thing. This is where my leak is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Anyone know if you can tighten the small arm that the actuator connects to? I have a small leak coming from it and not sure what the fix would be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah. I don’t think it’s worth the attention it will get. Better off just cutting my losses and getting the car put back together. Sooner I am done the sooner I can tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thinking to not even go w an ewg and just put my aftermarket catless back in and call it a day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So I was all excited this morning to dump some parts in. Vf52, Cobb intake, gs 3port ebcs, and swap my aftermarket uppipe w the grimmspeed ewg I acquired. So I spent all day tearing down and putting in parts. Found out that my turbo had been swapped previously w a vf40 instead of a 46 and that wastegate has been running half open (bent). Didn’t matter. I had a vf52 to drop in. So after fighting w everything getting it all setup I had the turbo and the wastegate setup and my downpipe and exhaust put back in. So I decided to do an exhaust test like I usually do when messing w anything exhaust related. Turned my shop vac to blow, shoved it in the muffler and went around w my soapy spray bottle. Checked all the flanges. Checked the downpipe the top of the uppipe and the bottom. Then I decided to spray the flex section of the uppipe. ITS BLOWING. I’m so annoyed. I spent all day doing this just to find out the uppipe I had gotten is garbage. So now my car is still half apart in the garage and I must decide whether to buy a brand new one or go back to my regular uppipe. I think what annoys me the most is that either way I have to drop my downpipe, midpipe, exhaust manifold and uppipe again. So what did I accomplish today???? Not a damn thing. 13. Just a pump. No injectors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Can I start my car after installing a new turbo, intake, ewg, and boost controller. I’m not going to drive it but I want to check for oil leaks before it gets tuned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ok great. At least it isn’t just me. Does this cause boost issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Does anyone have a tial MVS ewg that they have bench tested? I got mine second hand and figured I would make sure it was all good before putting it in. So I hooked an air line to the fitting on it. If it is less than my spring pressure it just kind of leaks out the dump tube. To fully open it I have to give it a shot of air that is more than my spring pressure. I’m just wondering if this is normal? I dont want to put this in and start my tune and the. Realize it is messed up and have to to stop. Obv it is leaking out air from the vacuum line connection which doesn’t necessarily mean that exhaust will be dumping all the time. I just don’t know and wanna be 100% before going forward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I got mine off someone who was doing a swap. As long it’s an IHI turbo I can’t see it being a problem. Read the reviews. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No I did not unfortunately. It’s impossible to find. I saw boxkita version of it. I’m still on the fence about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. No I haven’t touched the transmission yet. I have had the car for like 3 months maybe and have driven it like 300 miles lol. It hasn’t been on the dyno. Probably getting an etune there is one place like an hour away but they are very expensive supposedly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I already did stage 1 and 2 Cobb. Now I just did the fuel pump, new Intercooler, vf52, Sf Intake, and I’m swapping my aftermarket uppipe for an external wastegate. Not needed but I want the noise lol. Hopefully this should make a little more power. Add the VB next and this thing should be a blast to drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just don’t want 2 sec shifts. The paddles are pointless with how fast they shift. I wouldn’t call it sport mode at all. I’m gonna do the vb after my tune. Wanna get all my power set up first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Anyone know a good place to get decals? I want to replace the process west decal on my Intercooler and I can’t find one anywhere online and process west doesn’t answer emails or instagram messages. I know I could go to a sign place probably and have them make one but I was just wondering if there was a website that had any for sale already. I searched amazon, eBay, and just a general google search. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Resetting the tcu did nothing for me. 2-3 shift didn’t bang for about 50 miles but then it went right back to being sloppy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Aem pump is in. Also got a process west Intercooler. Got a boost controller and an external wastegate. I know the wastegate is not needed but it is definitely wanted. Vf52 and Cobb SF sitting on the shelf just waiting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Arm pump is in. Also got a process west Intercooler. Got a boost controller and an external wastegate. I know the wastegate is not needed but it is definitely wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
