  1. I was gonna hold off but the TGV leaked so they needed to come out. I figured it would just be easier now. Which it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ok I’ll give it a try. I def just went out and drove when I reset it last time. I found this relearn procedure afterwards and never reset it cause I didn’t want it to get all crazy like it does after a reset.
  3. He didn’t give me a dyno sheet 306/375 Vf52 ID1050x injectors Up pipe Catted downpipe Cat back exhaust AEM 340lph pump Process west top mount Intercooler Cobb SF intake Perrin turbo inlet Torque solution tgv deletes I’m sure I’m missing something Car pulls like hell now. Already thinking of how to get more though lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So my car has had a valve body modification for about 400 miles. It still seems to get hard slam shifts every now and again making a loud bang. I got my car retuned today and it did it on the dyno. I was speaking to my tuner and he said that you shouldn’t have a valve body mod without a high stall torque converter and that’s why it slams. I was telling him about how after the install I reset mem2 and just drove it just like everyone else does. I told him maybe that wasn’t the right thing to do and I should go to Subaru to have a proper relearn done on the lift considering they have the correct monitor to do it. He said that every valve body he’s ever had in a Subaru was a drop in and it was good. No learning. He said the shift points are pre programmed into the tcm. So I’m confused now. These are all things that contradict what I had previously heard about valve bodies. He pretty much told me if I don’t do the torque converter it will continue to bang and I will eventually blow my transmission. I was under the impression that’s why I did the valve body mod to begin with. To avoid killing my transmission. He’s not even trying to sell the work either. He told me to just do it myself. So that isn’t the reasoning. I’d hate to do the torque converter and my car still has slam shifts. $685 is too much to waste if it doesn’t fix my issue. What do you guys thinks I should do? 5. 306hp 375lbs of torque. Not too bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Whelp here we go again. Tomorrow is finally my dyno day. Unfortunately I am not allowed to be there due to this stupid pandemic. I have to drop the car and come back. At least I should be able to drive the car again if all goes well. [emoji1696] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yup. Well torque solutions requires this part to be removed but all in all. Awesome write up. Very helpful. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So one thing that kind of screwed me up in this walk thru. When removing the drivers side solenoid. If you have block of plates from torque solution. You will need to also take off the piece that this solenoid is attached too. Otherwise the plates they give you will not fit. They are meant to go right on the motor. I originally thought they sent me the wrong plates because only the passenger side fit. I don’t if all brands of plates go right to the motor or if some connect to this extra piece but torque solution def does. Here is a pic of what I had to take out. This part was not pictured in the walk thru. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Well only my tgv was leaking but I may need these after I reassemble and find out I missed a connection lol. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Leaked between the head and tgv. Had to take it out either way so I’m deleting it. I thought about the aos but I spent 1100 just to deal with this so I’m gonna do without for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yup it happens. Especially w Subaru’s lol. Spent tonight tearing it down Waiting on parts now. Hopefully I can remember where the 100 things I disconnected go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Failed. TGV leaking. Pcv bad and can’t get base map in time for injectors. Postponed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Pretune inspection this morning. Professional boost leak and smoke testing. Probably better than the paint can soldering iron setup I have. Also probably gonna grab some 1050 injectors. Prob throw this in later today or tomorrow. Assuming the place agrees to send me a base map. My id is 100% on current tune. Don’t wanna get retuned for less power so pay to play I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Went back to my old denso. Readings were way off. Finally drove it and it would go pig rich at 3000 rpm and cut. Just gonna leave it as is and see what the tuner says. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Damn. Guess I’m buying a fourth maf then lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Now I’m concerned that this might be the issue. 99% of websites are saying it is a direct replacement but 1% says it’s different. Now I’m confused Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Smoking it will help a lot too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Amazon. Installing it made all my readings go the opposite way. Makes me the think the original was bad and scaled on a bad maf. I just ordered another one this morning. Plug that one in when I get it and compare my numbers between the two aftermarket ones and the stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah hopefully he can sort out my issues. Hopefully my first tune was garbage and causing my issues. I just wanna drive the car and not worry for once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Getting it done at prime motoring by jrtuned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I recall my etuner saying the same thing. He first told me o2. Then it was a leak and then he told me it was fuel pressure. Then all of a sudden none of it was an issue after I tested everything and it came back good. I just don’t understand why it’s all coming back now all of a sudden. Hopefully the new tuner can do better. They are a reputable shop here in jersey so. Yeah I think I’m gonna buy another maf and o2. I’ll have 3 mafs and 2 o2. Lol. I might get some injectors too so my duty cycle isn’t so high. As long as they will send me a base map of course. Tune is on the 20th but I’m going to have a pretune inspection done by them on the 14th. I smoked it again today so I know it’s gonna be fine. Just a little more peace of mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Pretty much same. Mine drops to 8 wot tho lol. And my fuel correction and learning are all over the map. No leaks. Same as you. Getting retuned. Hopefully that solves it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
