  1. any subaru dealership should be able to get them for you...they're not anything special for this car, just the standrad lugs
  2. gotcha, i played around with it for a sec just to see what it'd be like and i could see on a taller vehicle it being nice, just didn't like it on the leggy. preferences and buttholes, everyone's got one and i like em all seeing if any of my folks with outbacks want the set
  3. been really liking the 6th gen impreza sport spoiler as a unique take for a legacy, just have no idea if it'd fit and i'm not willing to throw down a couple hundred bucks to test it...real baby sti wing vibes https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/gallery/2019-subaru-impreza-is-100-more-expensive_7.jpg p/n 96061FL00ANN
  4. if you're keen at all to do it yourself, even if you buy 6 new coils, you're looking at what...25% of the price of what the dealership is charging? hang on to the known replaced coils in case another one dies(they *are* wear items after all), and keep your fingers crossed. if you're not sure which coil is going bad you can get your codes read at autozone or what-have-you for free, or buy a $5 bluetooth OBDII adapter and download the free Torque app on android to scan codes. if you're not mechanically inclined, an indie shop will be able to change all of the packs for cheaper than whomever replaced the one and 6 plugs for $1400 if it was the same coil going bad each time then that's a completely different topic and would start down the rabbit hole of diagnostics, but if it's a different cylinder each time i'd be very surprised if it's anything other than just parts wearing out over time.
  5. i haven't changed my diff fluid in a while, but aren't the drain plugs 3/8 square? like, the square drive on a 3/8 ratchet takes em off?
  6. yeah saw that post before i bought mine, but found an extremely full set for $100 on ebay(i got luuuucky) before pulling the trigger on his. if you can get it, i highly recommend...and if you need the install material i can send them your way, i've got them sittin around. good luck. i've also got the exterior lighting kit and an extra roof adapter harness if you want them...just pay shipping...don't need the roof harness, and i'm never going to install the exterior kit, it's not for me.
  7. there's stickies for parts from other gens that fit our cars, as well as suspension threads...do a bit of lookin around...allegedly some gh8 control arms fit, but most(all?) haven't had to do anything with front arms when lowering the car. rear toe's a different story and there are adjustable rear arms available
  8. i bought an interior lighting kit about a year ago, finally decided to install it this weekend. love the illuminated sills, and the interior lights are nice and mellow...was worried they were going to be pretty spicy and bright, but they're pretty smooth and dim in a good way...hard to get good pictures but...that's what i got
  9. eh...i only put 4-5k miles a year on my car, and it uses about a quart ever 12-1500 miles...sometimes i forget how long it's been and the light comes on...haven't had any issues so far, still runs smooth as can be. wouldn't recommend doing it a bunch but you should be fine
  10. might as well change out the shifter bushings while you're doing all that work
  11. if one of the struts is leaking, i'd be very surprised if that wasn't your culprit...they make a *ton* of noise when they go bad. and if you used quick-struts (monroe etc) that has the whole spring/mount/etc all in one...well, i've never had good luck with em, they blow and get noisy pretty quickly
  12. $8k with 175k miles and flood damage? GLWS....
  13. that's a big oof, yeah that's some shady stuff they pulled. good on you for not rolling over though
  14. how many miles on your konis? if shipping doesn't work, and you want a stock suspension...i'm down in richmond, could be up for a swap...
  15. ebay, because i'm cheap. think it was like $220 shipped for the both of em? something like that. didn't realize how poor quality the depo was until i was way out of any sort of return period, and also had them on the car for 6 months, so i've stuck with em. i keep my eye out whenever i go to the junk yard, looking for a set of OEM ones that i can take and refurb, but haven't had any luck at this point...all chromies whenever i go.
  16. just for everyone...i ordered a set online that were both supposed to be TYC--one ended up being depo, and the other TYC. there's a massive difference in beam pattern, and the depo's clear coat started failing after less than a year while the TYC is still pristine and has a good beam pattern. steer clear of the depos.
  17. oh manasshole...that's where i bought my impreza years ago, but didn't have any other dealings with them since i live in richmond. but yeah fair, hope all goes well with what they've provided and the techs get everything right
  18. wow--crooks...what dealer so i know to *never* go there? 1 year on a very well used trans is about all you can expect unfortunately...just a crappy sich they put you in. fingers crossed that's the end of it, and at least you shouldn't have to worry about getting dinged if you do sell it, which i wouldn't blame you if you did
  19. so are they installing the new valve body in the used transmission? and are they giving any sort of warranty? good to find out it was their fault and are covering repair, but...i'd be very wary of them doing any work opening the transmission again if they're not giving a warranty.
  20. i think @dgoodhue is almost done with his project GT too, might be someone to touch base with...
  21. how's the underside of the car? could be something as simple as a leaky trunk seal getting the carpet wet, or it could be rust eating up from the bottom...
  22. fortune auto coilovers fit, they can customize spring rates and etc as well, so you can tune em towards comfort rather than stiffness etc...pricey but you get what you pay for.
  23. correct me if i'm wrong here, but...i think your actual wiper arms are switched...short one should be on the driver side and long one should be on the passenger side. windshield looks pretty minty, was it changed?
  24. god i can't imagine what one of those things would sound like running 8-9k...heavenly.
