  1. it's due to incompatibility of color systems. Subaru monitor uses NTSC video signal, but your cam is most probably PAL. You can just purchase PAL to NTSC video converter on aliexpress and convert the video signal.
  2. Sorry I don't have any dumps to share. Please check if it worked at all.
  3. You have just to measure it. Look for another amp or location if it doesn't fit. Regarding the overheating: JDM cars have OEM Mcintosh amplifier installed under the driver seat as well, heating is arranged with extenders 72512AG010/72512AG000: So if you have decided about it - look for the amp with matching size and look for JDM air vent extenders. I didn't see a point to put any amps under seats for my setup, as one small amp was not enough and i wanted to keep all one place, so i just did it in the trunk: I was too lazy for integration to be on the same floor level in that car. I made flat floor in my B14, it wasn't that hard, but i have no pictures to share.
  4. What is the desired car region for you? Canada or Europe? I will refer to your original dump first line: 6A 2B FF AA FF AB 96 0F 26 10 FF FF FF FF 07 For Canadian region: 6A 3B FF AA FF AB 96 09 30 10 FF FF FF FF 07 For European region: 6A 4B FF AA FF AB 96 09 40 10 FF FF FF FF 07 Rest lines make no sense AFAIK. Please change and report. Bytes for changes highlighted in bold
  5. Go for component speakers. 2 way system on the front is fully enough. Best locatin for tweeters in mirror covers. Check out how i did mine:
  6. Im sorry i had no time yet. I will check during this week.
  7. Best solution is to use Thule product, see my pics. They have aero bars which do not make noise on high speeds, now also available in black. Expensive, but is worth the price. These are much better than OEM system.
  8. sorry guys please clarify what h/k headunit manufacturer you have? Please show picture and if possible - rear side of it as well. I'm referring to facelift unit with big screen and navigation, manufactured by Fujitsu. For unit with small screen (without navi) may be enough to power the cam from backup light inside the lid. PS: i checked rear side pics of h/k with small screen (without navi) - uses same 16 pin connector. I'm not sure does this unit test the camera during car start up or not, but if not - the powering from tail light should be enough.
  9. I will check during this week. I'm not a pro dump content digger as well but i have some thoughts
  10. Upload original dump in public resource and send me a link to it. You can also add your wrong dump file to take a look.
  11. Today i reconnected my camera. Camera power connected to rear wiper motor green wire, ita acc +12volt. All is fine.
  12. How did you change from MPG to L settings? Changes cluster dump? Where did you take KM info from? Do you have your original dump file and changed one? And how inaccurate are the readings now?
  13. Blue wire in connextor on ali is used for camera power. By the way i forgot to tell - you should have 16 pin connector on your harness already as it has some other wiresfor headunit. Perhaps you could purchase same toyota adaptor cable and move the rca wire to your connector. I am going to repower my cam on weekend to windshield motor acc wire as explained previously to make sure i consult you right thing. And reply back.
  14. His car is my14, facelift. Si controls moved to steering wheel for eudm models. I posted on this forum how to install facelift steering wheel. I think i would integrate si drive satellite switch to old steering wheel if wanted to. Its not that hard.
  15. What cluster do you refer to? monochrome (old) or color (facelift)?
  16. I think this camera is same cheap chinese product plus additional wiring for x6 price. It uses standard rca video input connector which plugs to the h/u via male-female converson cable. As i understand from their homepage, camera power may connect to acc. Update: More convenient to use PC for this reply and can share details. No need to purchase expensive aftermarket camera kits, if they do not support any unique functionality like in this case. Harman Kardon Navi device looks same as my EU headunit, both manufactured by Fujitsu. These headunits use NTSC cameras powered with 6v from headunit (but possible to install 12v camera as well). It works this way: headunit runs backup cam start up diagnostics each time when you start the car - it powers camera, checks video signal presence and enables camera in case of video signal detection. If no video signal - it considers there is no camera installed. I have installed 12v camera to my car, but was too lazy for additional power wire and powered it from backup light in the trunk. So my camera works only if I switch reverse gear when start up the car. If any other gear or neutral is set during start up of car - the headunit does not detect the camera and does not switch it on later on. I just need to move camera power to any ACC wire, most probably i can use wiper motor acc wire in the trunk lid. I will do it when it will be warmer - now it's too cold. You can use any camera with following conditions: 1. Video signal support: NTSC 2. Power voltage: - 5 or 6 volts if you want to use original power connection from headunit - 12 volts if you want to use any other ACC wire. 3. Form factor: any, can be license plate light or as genuine installation. 4. Optional: dynamic parking lines. Some cameras have dynamic parking lines, which work with g sensor integrated to camera. These cameras are more expensive (around 30 usd) but these lines may be messy on the screen if native headunit lines cannot be switched off (i don't remember if headunit can or can't switch off native lines) 5. Parking lines: you have to find camera without (if want to use headunit lines) or with switchable parking lines if want to use dynamic lines. You will also need long video wire (usually comes with camera). If your car has no 16pin connector you may purchase it for 1.5 USD on aliexpress (look for: "16 pin adapter cable toyota" and it's a white 16 pin cable with one yellow RCA connector on other side). You need to connect following wires: headunit 28pin connector: pin 2 - reverse gear light. headunit 16 pin connector: pin 7 - camera power +6volt from headunit pin 8 - camera video signal V+ pin 15 - camera ground pin 16 - camera video signal V- Please let me know if you have any questions.

  18. Yes, I got the same but mine has +20 HP as my car is Diesel
  19. Yes, subaru sti flexi. I had similar on my previous gen Legacy BP, but it did not fit BR, so had to look for another one and finally found.
  20. Another STI purchase - front strut bar. Now its a long delivery from other side of the continent
  21. I foresee i will not feel the difference. Im just STI label collector.
  22. I checked some ads on Aliexpress - it will not be a direct replacement for your car. These devices are based on 4 channel audio chip and have 2 pairs of RCA outputs (ie front + rear pairs). so there is NO subwoofer output. Your amp, IMHO, same with the same round connector as Mcintosh subarus . But Tesla is lacking subwoofer pair. You will face with 2 issues: 1. Tesla RCA output cable is not same with Mcintosh AMP cable - will have to solder RCA female to Amp conversion cable. 2. Absence of subwoofer RCA output - this can be solved with pairing one of RCA outputs (most probably rear) to subwoofer input, in this case the subwoofer section becomes a part of rear speakers and cannot be controlled separately. Both tasks should be easy job for audio installation shops. And another option: If you are going to sell your Mcintosh, better sell it as set with the amp and speakers (as these are 8 ohm), you can ask more money for it and use it to setup a custom sound (you will need new wiring from headunit to to the amp place), etc
  23. Purchased this STI stiffener today. Will see if it fits my diesel...
