  1. You are right, there is not much space for fitment, but going to r18 in winter is suicide. Our roads are very bad. They will check what is possible. Perhaps i will use this brake kit during summer only if cant be fitted with r17.
  2. One more step to carbon ceramic brakes today: made 3d scanning of my wheels, as they should fit 355mm brake rotor and 6 pot caliper inside the wheel. The tricky part is to do it for my r17 forged winter bbs rv772 wheels (from jdm forester), its "brembo ok" wheel. If they will fit brakes inside this wheel, then it should fit all brembo ok wheels.
  3. I am going to start preps for upgrading my front brakes to custom carbon ceramic brake kit. My friend is running custom brakes company and they decided to make me a present. It will be based on 355mm carbon ceramic brake rotors paired with 6 pot calipers. I will have to do 3d scanning of my summer and winter wheels so they could do engineering works to fit it perfectly. I believe it may be ready somewhere in summer. Lets see how it goes. I will definitely make a post about it when its done.
  4. If remember correctly, it needs wiring to central lock, but i dont remember for sure. I purchased this unit and forgot where i put it, so i never installed. Other people said its easy. You just need to buy the correct one
  5. Please read before doing straight purchase from link below: there are 2 types of these modules, please consult with seller before purchase - which one fits your car. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mK0mPYG
  6. I have these somewhere. Purchased years ago, but these do not fit european version.
  7. Have you solved the issue? I havent visited forum for a while, but i have answers. The easiest way to apply parking brake recall campaign, dealer will change the required parts and recalibrate it. If you dont want to do so - EPB errors cant be read with cheap OBD scanners, as these scan engine errors. you need SSM (original or clone), Launch or similar diagnostics tool which read errors from other car units ans also have recalibration functionality. You can read the errors, but most probably you just need to recalibrate clutch pedal first and only after - recalibrate ECB. I had same issue with ecb after rear brake rotors replacement - ecb had same behavior. But luckily i own Ssm
  8. Did you get the right switch? By the way, one good mod you could add is to get windows closure module (i sourced one on aliexpress). It closes your windows automatically when you lock the doors and adds auto windows closing feature (as we have with driver)
  9. I did a huge work on it. If you are interested, i can add a detailed post with pictures.
  10. Does your speedometer dial have miles ? If not and if you need also miles on the dial as well, its easier to swap the cluster to US type. If you dont care of cluster not having miles of the dial, your cluster can be reprogrammed to have miles instead of km. You have to find a person who can read eeprom microchip data from cluster and modify it accordingly. This person can also program your odometer value to other replacement US cluster with miles on the dial. So your first step to find the guy who can do soldering and flashing chip eeprom. Cluster part numbers are not so important
  11. So your reason for return was: you did not like door lock icon? We (in Europe) have switches with this icon. And does the icon matters if switch does the locking/unlocking job?
  12. 24 pin socket has AUX 8 pin socket has MIC and Camera wires (if you have backup camera). If your car does not have camera - the socket will not have camera wiring and you can wire backup camera directly to your new headunit
  13. Havent posted here for a while as car. Recent update - subaru s401 BBS forged wheels: I think its not a best fit for this car. My Enkei Tuned by STI looked much better imho.
  14. Do you have factory xenon lights? If yes, then it is known issue. The lense reflector surface does not have coating anymore. You can restore reflectors or replace lenses with bixenon hella replica. If you have this type of issue, i can show how i did mine
  15. You can look for jdm panasonic strada bezel. It has bigger screen hole with no hole at the bottom.
  16. Radio frequency conversion will be an issue. The easiest and cheapest way is to use frequency converter. I used to integrate RHD navi (UK version) to my car. The bezel was modified with dremel, fibre plaster and aluminum imitation film. Upgraded to facelift version later on but rhd kenwood is still collecting dust.
  17. My Teins stay in garage for half a year. Dont have time to install as well. It will be nice setup. I have edfc controller for it as well
  18. I have integrated asus nexus into the glove box. Its not the latest model but it was the best option 6 years ago when i had this car. I used jdm glove box frame for panasonic strada. Still have the pad with the glove box somewhere in the garage How it looks:
  19. 2 - this is "mode" actuator. 7 - cold/hot air mix actuator. Some people changed "2" without dash removal but its extremely hard due to unscrewing upper screws. I changed mine when dash was removed. Its a way easier.
  20. This is pretty known issue with folding mirrors. The problem is in folding motor body which consists of 2 pieces with plastix fix points which are broken with time. The fix is easy: disassemble the mirror, get to the motor body pieces and fix it together with a couple of zip ties.
  21. I have reused pillar clips. Nothing went bad. And these still hold the cover full of audio wires ( i have routed 3 audio wires each side, as have 3 way setup). Be careful with pillar clip near ceiling - check manual how its released.
  22. Answer is YES. I did it with mine. Its easy to take it off - half an hour and you are done. I recommend to download manuals prior doing it and check the process. I also recommend to purchase sound insulation materials and put it on inner side of the dash and firewall. And of course, new actuators.
  23. 1 - left channel 2 - common 3 - right channel 4 - ground.
