The Cobb 20G looks like an STi style turbo, you probably need this hose from Grimmspeed to fit between that turbo and your TMIC.

Yesterday was both celebration and mourning...
My oldest daughter was married and it was amazing, it's both hard and wonderful as a Dad.
The mourning was the likely loss of two Subaru wagons. At 3 am last night someone rear-ended the '06 LGT and totaled it, but also pushed it into the back of my '99 Outback and probably totaled it as well.
It was hit by a newer Silverado and the officer said it was probably totaled as well, he made it to the stop sign before the steering locked up on him and he couldn't get any further.
I'm going to try to keep the blue LGT and part it, but we are now on the hunt for another 4th gen LGT wagon...
So arguing with insurance about the total loss value.
The only comps they can find are base NA engine sedans and they are significantly lower in value than the GT wagons.
I managed to find a few '05 and '07 GT wagons that have twice the list prices as the '06 sedans, but they are rejecting them as they aren't '06. I can't find a single '06 GT wagon for sale from a dealer in the country. Any ideas?

Dang, that coil looks toast.
Single: https://iwireusa.com/products/ignition-coil-plug-c
Four Pack: https://iwireusa.com/collections/3-pin-replacement-plugs/products/gray-coil-pack-plug-kit
PB Blaster and/or heat should help loosen the bolt.

Ok Guys so I double checked the spark plug they gave me which was one step colder...
This is what they gave me (It seemed to make sense due to gap but I just noticed something the reach is totally different... Could this be causing my issue and does what I'm thinking here make sense? If the reach is too short it would definitely cause misfire and issue I previously mentioned?)
https://www.ngk.com/ngk-2667-bkr7eix-iridium-ix-spark-plug
This is the original as I understand according to Subaru part listhttps://www.ngk.com/ngk-7913-silfr6a-laser-iridium-spark-plug
Most of us run LFR7AIX
https://www.ngk.com/ngk-2309-lfr7aix-iridium-ix-spark-plug
BKR7EIX could be an issue, as they seem to be much shorter in their picture compared to the LFR7AIX or the stock SILFR6A.

so, i know im not all that intelligent. especially with computers, and things that came about after mullets were cool.
my pictures all get uploaded to flikr, where i tend to use the image link while writing a post in microsoft word to copy and paste into the forum.
this forum uses the other media/image from url box as was explained to me in my build thread.
i cannot seem to get that to work, though other people have.
whet part of the following image link that would be pasted into my normal document needs pasted into the url box for the dropdown to make my pictures show up?

thanks!
You need to do the "Other Media" -> "Image from URL" and then just paste the URL that ends in ".jpg"
"https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53412562495_0cfcd56157_h.jpg"I think just pasting the URL that ends in .jpg will also auto-embed for you.

We had a 3D model thread around here somewhere, if I can find it I'll link it here.

All this talk of the kit. My only suggestion to do the job totally right, would be to re-pin both connectors so that there is not any soldering nor bottle neck of remaining smaller gauge wire. True pin to pin larger gauge wire upgrade
This is what I did

I'm at 235k+ on my '05 wagon.
Where else am I going to get a 6-speed, turbo wagon, with stunning good looks that I can still work on?
I've modernized a few things, adding upgrade audio, wireless charging, etc.
As a complete package, she can't be beat (in my opinion).
I'm not looking forward to another 10 years down the road when it's going to be much more difficult to keep her going and the crappy options I'll have to replace her with...

I installed an STi controller and upgraded the wiring from the battery to the controller and to the pump using the DW kit.
It's bumped my fuel pressure up a couple PSI overall.
I have pictures and was going to do a write up, but hadn't had the time to do it yet.

I just wrote Dave at Cryotune, to see if
A - he will tune with bigger sidefeeds at all (I would think probably, yes...)
B - if so, which he would prefer.... I am quite sure that the 650cc would be all I ever need, but also, I will do what the tuner says. Not quite blind faith, but I think I would be in good hands with either Cryo or Tuning Alliance for my level of power.
I say this while I still keep my eyes open for a decent used VF52 to sent to JMP just in case I ever get the itch for more...
I haven't been able to max out my 740s with my JMP-52, I think 650s would be pretty close.

Oh! OH! One of those too!
Remembering the 2010 (?) Legacy ones fit as well, and seem to sell for less.
2010-2012 6mt will fit as well, just need a little surgery on the bellhousing to clear the turbo.

When that happened to me, it was the starter on it's way out.
The starter will start to develop "dead spots" where it doesn't do anything, if you keep trying or wack it with something, sometimes it's good and acts perfectly fine.
The starter on my '99 is starting to do this, but it's about once a month right now, and eventually starts so I'm waiting on it...

Popped some kind of coolant leak this morning. Gauge went from a little high to higher and not cooling off once moving. Pulled over and ordered a tow.
I've added about half a gallon of water since waiting, so I know I was wasn't completely empty. I'd say once I parked, I probably only left a few ounces max on the ground.
Seems to be coming from the thermostat area and wetting the splash shield just in that spot.
A few months ago I noticed the engine would run at not full temp for a while before actually reaching normal. I'm hoping this is pointing to a thermostat funk rather than the water pump. I'd love to not deal with the timing belt.
Sounds like an OEM thermostat might be in order for this one. Don't forget to have the jiggle pin at the "top" so the air can escape.

A good electric or air impact wrench will take it right off if you have access to one.
Trying to undivot an axle nut broke a few tools for me before I went the impact route.

One thing to keep an eye on is that the mid-pipe might go to 3", but after the Y for the mufflers it's usually a pair of 2.25" or 2.5" pipes.
Just depends on where the measurement is.
You're right on the BORLA, it's 2.5" down to a pair of 2"

spt?
Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT), it was an OEM option that is pretty quiet; I don't think they still make them. You would need to find a used catback.
Depends on how you define "quiet".
The STI Genome is pretty "quiet" compared to most of the HKS options, and definitely quieter than Inivida or Nameless

I tried heater hose once, had to replace it a few months later when it started leaking because the oil was eating it up.
I would only go with OEM or oil resistant hose, it's not something I would want to return to fix again.

I didn't until now, now I've had to order it...

Are the turn signal bulbs replaced with LEDs? Sometimes that will cause issues depending on the LEDs.

Looking it up on parts.subaru.com
Looks like the LGT and OBXT are the same from what I'm looking at.
28321AG00C is the front
28421AG02B is the rear

What did you do to your 4th gen. Legacy today? Vol - 10

I thought it did, but they have to meet the following criteria (that they sent me):
- Vehicles should be the same year, make, model and trim.
- Mileage must be within 100k miles of the loss vehicle.
- Vehicles should be located within a reasonable distance from the loss location.
- Comparable vehicles must be listed or sold within 90 days of the loss.
- Ads must have verifiable information, such as a link or contact information as well as VIN#.
- Comparable vehicles must be reflective of the used market. In other words vehicles that are listed much higher than the base value of the loss vehicle without any notable or significant differences will not be considered.
Per the insurance agent, they consider a 2006 2.5i Sedan closer in value than a 2005 or 2007 GT Wagon (which I completely disagree with).
So I need to find 2006 Legacys, GT and wagon are preferable because of the higher value.
