  1. Great pickup for a a more fuel efficient car. Post some pics, I am already thinking of the engine swaps and power adders you could throw at the yaris, but I will keep those to myself for now.
  2. One one of them there was rust around the part that is black as well as it starting to separate. I believe they are just layers of metal, but once they start to rust and separate they tend to stop working properly.
  3. Swapped out all 4 spark plugs, and found one coil is on its way out. Fixed a short in one of the wires to my headlights that was causing that side headlight to intermittently flicker or stop working. I'm at 38x,xxx km which is something like 230,000 miles.
  4. Are you going full speed density or hybrid. As that will determine how hard it will be. Going full Speed density you could pull the MAF cable back towards the firewall, but you may need to separate it from the wire loom by the ABS Module as I think that is were it merges with the rest of the wire harness iirc. Now if you are going Hybrid Speed Density you will have a much harder time as it is a jumper harness to the MAF which stays in place, but the cable is shorter.
  5. Depending on where you get your Speed density wire from that might be too far without extending the wires. You don't want the wires to run over the TMIC or around your turbo so you should keep that in mind.
  6. Is the Bosch sensor less prone to the failures of the AEM sensor?
  7. It is slightly above and to the left of the BPV maybe a centimeter from the top. Hope that helps.
  8. Hey LGT people, I have a strange thing happening and I'm just looking for opinions on something happening with my car. It has been E-tuned for over a year now, and re-tuning is kind of out of the question, since I am on a Cobb AP. My cars AF on the AEM wideband on first start up is around 14, the Cobb AP is showing 14 as well on first startup. Once I start driving under partial throttle & full throttle AF is spot on between the Cobb AP & AEM wideband. But once I come to a stop sign or red light the AEM wideband jumps to 16.6-17 while the Cobb AP is still showing around 14 this only really happens after driving and coming to a stop with the car still idling, no hesitation, no bucking or bogging, no stuttering. I had changed the rear o2, and MAF previously when I was having hesitation and wide sweeping AF numbers earlier this year, which leads me to it believe that the Bosch LSU 4.9 Sensor is failing, but before I go spend money on the sensor it would be good to have someone else validate my logic.
  9. Sorry I miss spoke they drilled the hole in my GS tmic and also welded a bung in for it. I will snap a pic for you when I go out to pick up my daughter from day care in the next little bit. But yes you would need to find someone that can tig weld the bung on for you.
  10. I am running speed density, and one of the specialty subaru shops in my area drilled and tapped the cold side of my TMIC for a place to put the sensor in. but if you have a drill and tap you could do it yourself.
  11. Think you are looking for this DYI solution. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=cd6d9aaef30a60dc49c4345f5e89f4e5&t=2943939 Or this
  12. I was a page back, hit submit and it didn't take me to the post so I thought it wasn't posted, and kept hitting submit. Lol, long day sorry.
  13. Great catch, for some reason I thought OP had a wagon, didn't notice that he has a Spec B listed for his model of car.
  14. Sorry I should have clarified it is the transmission shifter U-Joint, not the driveshaft u-joint. To fix the left to right play in my shifter.
  15. Spent some time this weekend on my back with the car on jack stands so I could replace the transmission mount bushings, transmission mount with a group n transmission mount as well as the front/rear shifter bushings. Everything came off easy, but I should have picked up a replacement u-joint while I was in there. Just can't figure out which u-joint I need since the solid one seems to not fit unless someone else can confirm it works for the 07 spec b 6 spd.
  16. Only because I just helped a friend with his reverse lights. Open up your hatch and pop the grommet off of both side in the top left between the hatch and the body. with the grommet off pull each side up or down and check for breaks in the wire at both sides. My guess is that you have 1 or 2 wires with a partial break in them. The friend I helped had 4 clearly broken wires and 3 more that had breaks in the wire but not clean through. But he did have to pull the back panel off, and remove some of the wire stays to get enough slack in the wire to fix them.
  17. I'm all for a rotated setup and you can make more power with a bigger rotated turbo, I would like to go that route myself once I can get tuning figured out. But you should understand what your goals are for this car. If you are chasing HP numbers get the biggest rotated setup you can fit under the hood, if this is going to be a drag car, or a weekend track car or just fun fast daily that big rotated setup might not be the best choice/option. I had found this list of turbos yesterday and wanted to post it so you could see the size comparison to some of the turbos you would be looking for and help you find turbo sizing that works for you. Just as an FYI the 4 turbos below all share the same size wheels. First two being stock location, and last two being rotated. 18. Yes they are included, but if you speak to them or read the description the last line for the following turbos have a note. 3.5xtr, 4.0xtr NOTE: The Dominator 4.0XT-R is a bolt-on upgrade that requires a 3" inlet. Blouch Turbo requires TGV deletes to be used with this turbo and strongly recommends an external gate to achieve maximum performance. The blouch 5.0xtr will only work with an external wastegate where as the others can be setup in either format.
  19. Just an FYI you can run a blouch turbo with an external wastegate I recommend going with 4.0 or 5.0 if you are shooting for 5xxwhp They are still stock location. But they do only come with 3" inlets at that size.
  20. Hey bud, I'm running the 10cm with stock inlet. You have the option of going with the 3" inlet, but you will probably want the 8cm with stock inlet if its for a track car
  21. I actually like this option, as I'm running the blouch 2.5xtr and think I'm pretty close to 400 on pump gas. I think going to a 3.0 or 4.0 would have gotten me to 400 easier but with more lag.
  22. Finished up some work on a friends car this weekend that I had started two weeks ago. So a couple fridays ago we spent the evening installing 4 new speakers in the doors as well as added some dynomat to each of the doors plus Installed the JDM double din kit + his new stereo. Second day was to run the Amp wires, install the amp and sub, dynomat the rear hatch & install a backup camera. While we were in there he was complaining of not having any reverse lights, so we fixed the notorious broken wires at the hatch and everything works well now. But I did most of the work and don't want to do anymore stereo installs for a little while.
  23. We are good with whatever the group decides on logging. We can camp in the woods, but I know the wife would prefer a bed & shower. As long as it falls on or before fathers day weekend we will be good to attend.
  24. If this happens a weekend earlier me and the family are still committed to coming, if it happens a weekend later, We won't be able to attend as a family but if its only a 3hr drive I can show up sometime over the course of the weekend.
  25. All of the polish people I know or have meet have been good fun loving people.
