  1. I use regular iridium plugs, the special cut Subaru ones are ridiculously expensive and do not make a difference. regular iridium are $7 each at the parts store vs nearly 20 for the Subaru specific ones..
  2. the speedo is never going to tell you the real speed, most under report by about 1-2 mph...this is by design. Even GPS will be in error when you are not on level ground.
  3. I went with a Megan Racing bar on my 201 outback and 14 legacy, very pleased overall
  4. when I first got my 14 legacy in 2016, I changed the outer tail lights to LED and the reverse/turn lights to LED. Also installed a tap to turn and for nearly 4 years no issues. I left the lights in the trunk as regular bulbs.
  5. BMW=Broke My Wallet... Congratulations on your new car. I have seen 2010-14 Subaru and outback with 2.5L and CVT with well over 200K on them... the highest I saw was 264K on a 2010. outside of the initial issues with TQ converter bearings, they seem to be very reliable overall
  6. That dealer out of state thing is everywhere... unless you are on the border, they are not typically flexible in that regard
  7. Gave my '14 legacy 2.5i to my wife as I now have a 2010 Outback 3.6R premium with sunroof.
  8. it is going to be close and definitely clean up the car inside and out. just might make the difference, also provide receipts for any recent maint/purchases
  9. use whatever matches Subaru requirements. The Amazon oil is pretty good.
  10. remove tube from end of pump and activate washer, if it sprays out, you know the pump is working. you should be able to turn the car ON and activate the washers and hear the pump.
  11. Did the dealer not provide you a loaner? I would ask for one as soon as one becomes available. also ask them to document it in pictures and provide them for you. They should be able to explain what happened.
  12. Take that out and either replace it or douse it in mold killer. That cannot be good for your health. I would also contact SOA and have them ispect the car to find out where the water is coning from. They might be willing to assist you in getting it repaired.
  13. OK, I have had the car for 2 weeks and I have been slowly getting it up to snuff New Ford Mustang GT LED fogs Repaired the remote start Got the remaining outstanding recalls done Transmission serviced Oil changed New Tires Will need to have the latest TCM update applied to address the judder under light load In the spring I am going to refresh the suspension with new bushings, control arms, and shocks from a 13-14 outback along with a 20mm rear bar.. and a Miromoto HID kit.
  14. The video above while good... does nothing to determine long term reliability... from personal experience east pen manufacturing batteries last a long time... some of mine have made it nerly a decade
  15. Just got a set off of ebay for the 2010 outback 3.6r
  16. torque converter shudder under light throttle worn suspension parts burn out bulbs excessive wear and tear for mileage
  17. got a 2010 outback 3.6r and revs are <2k at 60.. lol 140k and it still has balls and nets me 24 mpg mixed
  18. watched a pov 3.6r drive video on yt and rpm are low at speed
  19. the 3.6 should be lower in the rpm range it is more powerful and can pull while in a higher gear
  20. I let it shift auto and result was the same... i was expecting about 2k at 60
