  1. So I have had a busy last 2 days, starting work at noon yesterday and going till 10:30 last night then back at it at about 11 this morning and finishing up about an hour ago. Long story short I've had a JDM 2.0 GT front end with the facelift done on my car for almost 2 years. My car is 2005 swp, and well it was black. I've been officially sick of it lately and since the long weekend has been on us north of the boarder here (not sure if you 'muricans have it too since the 4th is on thursday for you) I decided to go at it since we were having good weather for once! I removed all the panels and sanded them down with 320 grit and scuffed all the panels, primed and painted them with the closest match I could find without going to a paint shop for them to mix and can themselves. After I primed I wet sanded and primed again, after that paint, wet sand, paint again with another wet sand to smooth out the finish. I still have to do clear coming up but I'm happy with the results so far. I also used this opportunity to install my JDM oem optional side skirts, I love the look of em!
  2. Picked up some more goodies for the car/build today. I just need more time allocated so I can actually get this all done!!!
  3. Its a 21mm hollow bar, nice and light too. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants an upgrade
  4. Continued pulling apart my spare engine today, then I got to installing the zero sports rear sway bar with poly bushings. Night and day difference in feeling of the car, it feels so much more planted. on/off ramps on the highway are so much more fun! I can't wait till I get to install the front one.
  5. I've got a $160 brand new one from NAPA on my front right. Not one issue!
  6. Oh goddamn those are nice... makes me want to do the swap even more
  7. Pretty sure I blew out my intercooler last night, I'm hitting boost just fine but get a funny sound like air squeezing out a balloon when you pull the nozzle part just after 8psi. I just have no time to fix it before the weekend. If you can see this video, let me know what you think.... https://www.facebook.com/2freedom/videos/10161978984235096/
  8. Picked up the set of freshly turned rotors for my brembo swap this morning, I was recommended this place and it ended up a guy I used to work with works there. They gave me a cash deal, $50 to turn all 4 rotors, it just took a couple weeks since I won't be installing them until july when I get them powdercoated. So I dropped of my new to me rear upper control arms to have the bushings pushed out and the whitelines installed. Love cheap cash deals!
  9. I know a couple of people who run the CSF Radiator, both are quite happy with them and they have great fitment as well
  10. Presents for the car arrived today, another package from japan with a few small things, and then these babies showed up for the brembo swap. Probably my favorite set of brake pads I've ever driven on.
  11. New JDM toys arrived! There should be another box arriving in a week. I got lucky on the rear garnishes and grabbed that auction while a bunch of people were bidding on another set.
  12. Open her up to see, the smell of a burning clutch is never what you want. Not trying to be captain obvious here I'd never do clutch dumps at that rpm without having the car fully prepped for it first.
  13. I get tons of waves with the bigger scoop on
  14. I picked up my rear bumper for $80, including the rear fog light. Guy had it for a year then dropped it a couple times, when I saw that price I just went and got it thinking he didn't even have it anymore
  15. Get some more pics of the front end... looks very nice
  16. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO..... btw NO:lol: Glad to see another canadian here, too bad you're so far away. ARP Head studs every time!
  17. Exactly this, my Dad taught me back in the day, heat them up with a torch and drop em in water right after. It softens them up again, I've never had a problem with doing that and neither did he
  18. These forums... the for sale section. But if you want a badass vf52, contact jmp
  19. Well, this evening starting at 9:30 pm I started my suspension install of my new to me coilovers. Soooo I found my passenger side inner tie rod is blown, so back on rock auto and I said f it and ordered the pair. Might as well do both while I'm doing both outers and ball joints before getting the old bitch properly aligned.
