  1. I'll see what I can do to incorporate a solid rod the full length of the post or do something to strengthen it.
  2. The phone is a bit heavy for it honestly. I can add the longer bolt hole if you want I'll print you a replacement and get it sent out. Pm me your address please.
  3. Just to update on my CNC Router... I have in hand basically everything I need to get power to the VFD and Spindle. Will be running the 220v and 110v lines this fri/sat. I have figured out, (i think), the relays and PWM control for the spindle from mach 3. If all goes well, By the end of the weekend all that should be left is to mount the spoil board and get my end mills in. I have already been doing some preliminary design work. With the CAD software I'm using i can take a 3D model and cut it from a solid block of material. Keep in mind it's only a 3 axis machine for now so I can't get too fancy. I'll start working on skid plates again once everything is running.
  4. I'm not the best at design either. I learned by doing. Get a free copy of sketchup and go to town. Get a set of calipers from Harbor Freight, take measurements, then iterate until it's right.
  5. As far as I'm concerned Streetlegal will be the owner of the design since he did all the work. What he chooses to do with it is up to him. I will gladly make these available for the community however.
  6. That wasn't directed at you street legal. I typically get overwhelmed with folks wanting to test a new item. Greatly appreciate your work. I can handle the production once we are there.
  7. I can print in any material (that I am aware of) that is available. Abs may be the winner. Once the design is done I'll print a few test pieces and ask for some folks to test them. Please don't pm me asking to test yet.
  8. The engineering sample I printed earlier (Boyceware has it) was printed in PLA. I've recently seen issues with PLA in hot cars, actually deforming and warping. Also it doesn't have much Flex. Only drawback to Nylon is it would have to be dyed post printing. Due to the complex shape of the pod's , there is no good way to print them with a single extruder machine. I'd be willing to upgrade my printer to a dual setup so a dissolvable support material could be used. The sample was a bear to clean up.
  9. After some recent experiments, I feel like nylon is the best material for this.
  10. I think he means a shade to cover the Vent boost gauge. I have the same VBG in my wagon. I'll see what i can do.

  12. Thanks. US guys if you use this be sure to select outback as the car not Legacy / liberty. Rails are different.
  13. Finally joined the club. Not sure if this is news or not but i discovered the Yakima Whispbar S22 with K325 fit kit is a perfect fit for the 4th gen Legacy Wagons. Yakima doesn't list it as compatible, however, the Yakima AU site lists it as compatible with with AUDM 4th Gen Outback which shares the rails with the USDM Legacy. (AUDM Liberty has the delete strips). Shown with Yakima front loader bike mount. Zero wind noise with bare rack, with front loader on you can barely hear wind noise. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/29/50fd001057dcebf138438207b9101bb5.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/29/c9f4de611c5d481549a1262dabc8e758.jpg
  14. The Yakima whispbar setup works perfectly http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/29/50fd001057dcebf138438207b9101bb5.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/29/c9f4de611c5d481549a1262dabc8e758.jpg
  15. The part number for the flush strips are below. These are JDM / AUDM part numbers so it is unknown if US dealers can get these. I can all but guarantee the headliner would have to be dropped to do the swap also. Right: Silver 91046AG002 Grey 91046AG022 Left: Silver 91046AG012 Grey 91046AG032
  16. Just to update a bit more, In my research i found that the AUDM 4th gen outback has the same roof rails and the USDM 4th gen Legacy as pictured below. The AUDM Liberty (comparable to USDM Legacy) has the flat / deleted roof rails. 17. After looking for many months for a set of Canadian bars, I ended up buying the Yakima Whispbar S22 with K325 fit kit. According to Yakima AU's website and in speaking with US customer support, it should work. I will have them here on this Friday 5/29 and i'll update with fitment. Here's hoping....
  18. Don't count on it. Your light could be cause by any number of things. Most likely, your roll connector in the steering wheel is damaged.
  19. On the MAF Harness, is that not an additional single black wire taped to it? Might just be an optical illusion.
  20. Huge thanks to Street legal for picking up the dash pod development. I've seen some preliminary renders and it is going to be cool!
  21. Nope. To many irons in the fire. If anyone wants to help out in the development please pm me
  22. Yeah. I have setup a live camera that is streaming 24/7. Drop in every once and a while to see what's printing. http://live.emergentprinting.com I'll do the same once I get the router up and running.
