  1. I was wondering the same about a LSD swap and if it would mate up with gear ratios we have in the XT. As I've read I think Strizzy placed a STI front LSD but would figure both front and rear would need to swap to keep the ratios the same. I would also like the RPM down at 80. 3100 is pretty standard fare on the freeway now days so long as the CHP isn't in view.
  2. Ther eis light at the end of the tunnel... Keep moving forward youll make it to the end.
  3. You were most of the way there. Should have just pulled the manifold off.
  4. Push it over the first nipple of the return fitting and return back into the pump. Least thats what I did with the old one after I pinched the new on doing it wrong. Correct old looks like a flat black oring and the new one is round orange silicone based material.
  5. They only sell the updated part. I didn't have to ask at all about any updates, just ordered new gaskets and for sure they were way different from the origionals.
  6. So are you running the thermostat in line? I get what your saying. Pull the heat with the cooler before heading into the radiator to keep it from heat soaking as well.
  7. Transmission cooler to the rescue. I've never experienced this but have had a hot run up and over the grape vine (I5) last year with 4 people in the car. You must have some grade with no passing options to get that far.
  8. If your not leaking air to fully bleed out the air use Max's method. Go to a parking lot and do 8 figure eights steering lock to steering lock. Works like a charm.
  9. Failed on mine and pinched the oring. Need a new one, putthe old back in for now. Not making a mess next time and draining the system so I don't have ATF all over the place. Make sure your pulling the old black one and just slipping the new one on the small bung and seat. Mine was stuck inside the pump.
  10. Usually not that cold out here but it is winter. Been noticing this lately and have some residue arond the feed connector. Will get this on my list for next round of parts. Thanks guys.
  11. Ordered one yesterday and it will be going on a new assembly before install... One of those replace it before it fails items.
  12. Yeah I know about the final drive and was curious about the GT real world tach perspective. May consider switching or adding a GT some day just for this reason. I really have to keep my foot out of it to get a decent MPG average.
  13. Whats the RPM at 80 for the the GT? OBXT is 3K and I want more leg on this to help gas milage... Just looks to be a pig to swap everything over so a not going to happen senario. Your getting run over out here at 70. So good average.
