  1. That's a deal. GLWTS. Would have jumped on it if JMP and I had not connected a couple weeks back and he spun up a new one. Should be here today tomorrow.
  2. Just ordered a new 10mm oil pump. Parts are starting to arrive. Once this pump arrives I'll get on it. Car covered for now and garage cleaned up. Ran the head stud HW through the ultrasonic cleaner. Need to get my air compressor back in service.
  3. Been considering a NA car for the daughter unit. Looking for that H6 nugget though. I really don't need another turbo platform in my life.
  4. Trust me, not looking forward to pulling my dash out either. Motor rebuild is easier. Been there done that.
  5. It's just another loop. So looping inside the car and or out should not matter. Distilled water is a good first try and see but was done likely because of failure. If I wasn't into a motor rebuild may have taken my dash apart for actuator motor replacement. Have an entire center section from a wrecked car and all new actuators. If I don't use the center section it will be available. Car it came from had 65K on it. So the heater core should still be good.
  6. Killer B conversation was a good one. Pan ordered with windage tray. Will be happy to put more oil in the mix. Conversation moved to oil pump size and their findings is what has been out there for a while. No need for a larger pump. After 85psi it's going thru the filter bypass. Word of warning is to take it apart. Clean the internals. Pack with assembly lube and torque the housing to spec. They have seen OEM pumps delivered loose and dirty. Will be ordering a 10mm pump for this build. It's a street car.
  7. Agreed. Understood. Need to discuss with Travis (Snail) but I'm not that close yet. Just figured to ask here if anyone has been creative with alternatives.
  8. If weeping a little yes, until it gets really bad. Do the hydrocarbon test to be sure.
  9. Yes... GetaDom mod has been ordered already. He was happy I let him know they were not in stock on his website. Soon as I found his email suddenly there were 19 available in the store. Again thanks for checking I'm on the right path.
  10. Yes but would be nice to have the safety there too. But I've killed one already with a gutted up. If I remember correctly the resistor (have one on an old EGT harness) tells the ECU it's 1350 degrees always.
  11. Part of the Heuberger order. Thanks for looking out for me. One item I missed was a new EGT sensor. Is there a more robust after market unit out there? Will need it now that COBB is green.
  12. Heuberger Subaru - Most all the hoses, OCVS, New ACV pullys, intake ect... FastWRX - OEM quality belt kit. Rally Sport Direct - New Water pump. Cast impeller version. ORDERED Next on the list is: Oil Pump - Will probably go with one from Outfront motor sports. 11 or 12mm. Shop that built the SB and heads said they prefer the JDM 12mm. Oil Pan - Will be Killer B but what one??? Calling them back as I received not call back today. Windage Tray - Killer B Oil pan HW kit for the pan and pickup.
  13. Well... Unlike last time the shop is ready to deliver. Luckily I have family near them and headed my way this week. So pickup and delivery before the end of the week. SB done. Heads refreshed. Full gasket kit provided. Need to get this other orders finished for the rest of the peripherals.
  14. A couple of Company 32 tools showed up. 13mm diff plug socket and 5 point socket for the AVC Pully HW. Will be probably just buying all new pulleys.
  15. $175 is for new AVC pulleys sound right? Loading up a bin of OEM parts... Just making sure it's not just part of the part listed at heuberger.
  16. Agreed 203 sounds right to me as well. If you dont know the history it's cheap insurance, good idea to swap that sensor. Had an 89 CRX that had issues with the coolant sensor. It never cleared out of closed loop and always running rich. Once swapped all was good. Hopefully youll find why your getting the misfire.
  17. Oy. Feel the horde pain. Have so many bins of new and old parts in the Garage it's getting out of hand. 2 street bikes, OBXT... Luckily no horde for the Tacoma. Good luck on the swap.
  18. Yes, on the threads. Just not too much so it shmoos everywhere.
  19. We spoke last night. Plan is hatched. Custom VF40 in the works.
  20. Will never be able to build the car how I really want to and must compromise at every turn these days.
  21. Yeah. Were having a hard time linking up. Will happen eventually, given some time. Would like to keep the OEM compressor housing installed. Save any explanation about changes for future smog visual check.
  22. Here's where the project stands. Case bored to 100mm - Ringland failure didn't ruin current sleeves. New crank - Mine is just under tolerances after polish. Donated rods from their stock - Mine were ground horizontally for weight balance, No bueno. New pistons - Going with their preferred Weisco set. Short block assembly. Heads to go +1 on all valves. I sent guides bought from Infamous years ago. Reuse retainer and caps. Cams are in good shape. Have 5 buckets on the list but we may just horse trade needs based on final as I have a bunch in stock from the last rebuild. Having them supply the full motor gasket kit. Just under 5K for this. Their goal is to get it all done before the end of the month. Work with John on a VF40 rebuild in the near future if possible. 16G is shot. Original VF40 hadn't degraded to the point of bending the wheels so it should be salvageable. Otherwise a new BNR 16G will be purchased. Looking at options of cleaning the AVCS gear internals. Company 23 tools to the rescue. Considering a Killer B pan and windage tray to go with the pickup I have.
  23. It's mutual. May need a few connectors during my rebuild. Was not aware of iWire till now and will circle back. Need to go through my stash before buying and not pickup parts I already have in stock.
