  1. My camera is placed exactly where the stock camera would be. That shouldn't make any difference, however.
  2. I see your parking assist lines are askew to the right just like mine. Either it's a screw-up or it's like that for a reason. Looks like a satellite or GPS antenna plug.
  3. Where I live, I rarely have to drive below 30mph, usually average between 35-45, so IAT drops pretty quickly. It likes to hang around at or just below 100°, but I'm not driving in the city like you. A lot more trees and fresh air up here.
  4. I was checking mine today during a 30 minute drive and the highest my IAT went up to was ~140°F while sitting at a red light. It dropped back down to <100° one I started driving.
  5. Next time you talk to him, ask him if he got anything back from EcuTek on the '12 ROM image.
  6. To me, I don't see the point in spending the extra money for something when you'll still be doing the same amount of wiring. All it is doing is eliminating the cable run from the front to the back, which was probably the easiest part of the whole install (5 minutes tops if you know what you're doing). Plus, it's just one more part that can potentially stop working or not work at all.
  7. Without the engine cover, there seem to be plenty of room around the intake pipe. I just like the fact that it's easy on, easy off.
  8. I did some Googling and the only price i could find on the stuff was $25/ft and that it's 20" wide. Any truth to that?
  9. Is there any difference between the silver or gold wrap other than the color? One place I'd like to use this is between the sunglasses holder and the roof. when I park in direct sunlight, my glasses get way to hot to put on right away.
  10. If you don't mind spending the money, I guess we could go with this... [ame=http://www.amazon.com/DEI-010417-Cool-Cover-Tube/dp/B000CEQBXY/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1406988483&sr=1-1&keywords=dei+cool+tube]Amazon.com: DEI 010417 Cool Cover Air Tube Cover Kit: Automotive[/ame]
  11. I have the UltraGauge so it's plugged in all the time. I would think the OBDLink would be the same; it just doesn't have it's own display. I have a Y-cable too so I would never have to unplugged the UltraGuage, but I never got around to using it.
  12. That stop&go once I hit Queens is brutal. Add to that the condition of the roads and it's amazing any car can stay in one piece for long.
  13. This who I got mine from; he has only one left. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121388552584
  14. I just wish there was a way to adjust the parking assist lines on the HU (PE627U1); they are off-center to the right. You can adjust Brightness, Contrast & Language, however, by pushing in the Scroll/Tune button on the right when the camera image pops up.
  15. I highly recommend the Rydeen MINy, very easy to install and excellent quality at around $40-$45.
  16. I didn't see or notice if there was a retention latch on the 28-pin connector, but I wasn't looking for one either. that would probably have made it a lot easier to push the pins in place.
  17. Pin-13 is the video shield, pin-14 is the video signal. Pin-8 has to be grounded 1st before the headunit will do anything. I went with SVXdc's suggestion and looped pin-8 to pin-12. After I did that, when I put my car in reverse, the backup screen appeared on the HU (with no image since the camera wasn't hooked up). So, the HU doesn't need to have a signal for the function to work, it just needs pin-8 grounded. If you were to remove or cut the reverse lead to pin-2, and then connect pin-2 of the head unit to a switch with +12V power, you would be able to activate the video screen when you want. Or, you can do what SVXdc suggests: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4670731&postcount=2 If you were to do that, and use a video input switch, you could change the image to whatever you like. You could even hook up a DVD player and use the AUX inputs for the audio. The 1674311-1 terminals are the ones I used; a real pain in the a$$ to work with because of the size. I've seen your work, so I'm sure you know your way around a crimper. You just have to pay attention to the way you insert them into the harness since they only fit one way. Pushing them in all the way was probably the hardest part. You want to make sure you get a good crimp or else they'll come right off when inserting them. I don't know which terminals are used for the trunk connector. I just wired everything directly to the headunit.' edit: Also, I powered the camera by using pin-11 on the headunit.
  18. Okay, so what part exactly are we using to add wires to the 28-pin connector?
