  1. I installed a Fumoto valve in mine to make draining it easier. In fact, I just checked mine this morning after emptying it 5K miles ago, and there wasn't even a drop in the can, so either it's not catching anything or there's nothing to catch. Last time I checked it, I had a few mL in there, though. It could be because of the NanoTech Lubricant I put in that is keeping the engine oil temps down. I'm also only down maybe 1/3L in those 5K miles where I'm usually adding a 1L every 3-4K miles. I guess that stuff really works. I've decided to add a second catch can to the breather line to keep gunk out out the throttle body. This time, it's a DIY setup using a Husky air compressor filter. I'm having a hard time finding 1/2" ID hose though, so I'm planning on using 3/8" hose with step down adapters.
  2. Which roll did you get, 1.5"x15'? That's what I used and went through three rolls. Should have got the 2"x50' roll.
  3. I'll probably just go to the guy who did his brakes.
  4. Okay, so now that all my rotors, pads and brake lines are in, who's gonna help me install them?
  5. Still on 1st set of plugs. Will have them changed when I get my 60K service done. Planning on doing it at 55K miles.
  6. Mishimoto (un-baffled version). I stuffed it with stainless steel to act as a filter. It doesn't catch much, though. I'll empty it again when I hit 5K miles since last oil change and post pics of the results.
  7. I just did the Seafoam thing with Perscitus and I use Techron at every oil change. After the Seafoam, my knock has actually gone up a bit so I've switched to 89 octane gas which has helped, maybe it's time to change the plugs too? I'm at ~53K miles.
  8. I put my catch can between the PCV valve and the manifold.
  9. I've never done a brake job, so it's probably something I don't wanna do by myself, especially putting in the SS lines. I 99% sure on getting the Centric Premium rotors. For pads, it's either the Hawk HPS or the new Hawk HPS 5.0.
  10. I didn't think we could log oil temps. It's not available on my UltraGauge.
  11. Budget? What's that? I'm thinking about going with Centric rotors paired with Hawk HPS pads & Goodridge SS lines. Figure it will run me ~$500 before installation. Of course, I'll have to find somewhere to install them (most likely AZP).
  12. Okay, so my brakes have started to squeal a lot at ~53K miles. For a DD, what rotors & pads do I want?
  13. Diode Dynamics: LABORDAY10 = 10% off all orders LABORDAY20 = 20% off orders over $200!
  14. So far, just the intake. If I go the OpenSource route, I'm probably going to ECS since they've already done Giovanni's and they're only about 90 minutes from me.
  15. Yeah, I purchased the Tactrix cable for the same reason; to pull the 2012 ROM image and get it defined. I even pulled some log files but I never got a tune. I still have the cable sitting in the closet.
  16. Okay, so let's get a count of which MY 3.6s are tuned, so far I got: 2010 = 1 (Perscitus) 2011 = 2 (ItalianLegacy, stevenc1703) 2012 = 0 2013 = 2 (fredrik94087, KFCConspiracy) 2014 = 0 Is that it?
  17. You know, I checked your build thread right before I posted that just to check to see if you had tuned your car. You need to update the 1st post of your build thread. So, if you already have the Tactrix cable, why would you need the vagcom one?
  18. Like I said, I have no clue. I do have the '11 ROM image for the EcuFlash software btw, what I don't have is the defintion file. I have nothing on the '11 for the RomRaider software and I haven't seen anything for it on the RR forum either, so for now your only choice for tuning might be EcuTek.
  19. Actually, I have no clue. I know for sure the Tactrix cable works, that's about it. You would have to check on the RomRaider forums for more info.
  20. Oh, you mean the one posted in the "Performance Mod" sticky and not the "Tricks & Tweaks" one? But I guess, if the OP posts in enough threads without actually doing a search of the forum, someone is bound to do all the work for him, right?.
  21. Obviously a RHD 'cause of where the master cylinder is and I see the aftermarket intake, but what is the pipe on the left for?
  22. I might give this a shot. I have a bunch of mini SPDT On/Off/On switches that would be perfect for this and also give me the ability to turn off the camera entirely.
  23. Make sure your tuner didn't disable any of the DTC codes.
