  1. H&R camber bolts work wonders in the front. In the rear I'd go with the whiteline KCA399 or the toe arms. Either one will get you camber in the rear, but I actually found I needed less camber in the rear after my koni/epic install. You probably want to shoot for -2.2F -1.7R, zero toe all around. What size wheels/tires/offset? I ran 225 Z1 Star specs on 17x7.5 +48 with no issues whatsoever in my legacy back when I autocrossed it. No roll or pull. I would go to Subaru of North Reading, I had good luck with them doing all the recalls. I haven't taken it in for the Dash recall yet, mostly because I don't think I'll get the new dash and I want to wait to see if I can get it. Tires are worth way more than you think. MPSS are worth multiple seconds compared to RE71, like 3-4 seconds minimum. That course also punished the wrong driving line like almost no other I've seen at Devens in a while. I also didn't really take that right hander off the pin right, you'll see me carrying too much speed into it, but I'll also post the winning STR run that absolutely nailed every corner. I actually had my fastest time on two separate runs, i'll post both: 1st afternoon 59.482 - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQQrorjo6sA]NER SCCA 7-17-16 Derek - YouTube[/ame] 2nd afternoon 59.482 - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfjVy9N9D8A]NER SCCA 7-17-16 Derek 2 - YouTube[/ame] Mark Dudek STR 56.404 - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjQW8-kegrA]SCCA 071716 - STR S2K - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Recording runs will definitely help you. Also fixing that airbag so that I can ride with you! Or take your car for a fun run at a renegade event like I did with Solidsnake. There were also lots of places on the course yesterday to lose a TON of time if you're greedy. I'm happy to post my runs if you think it would help you. Keep in mind that in SM you're allowed gobs of power and as much hoosier as you can stuff into the car including cutting fenders, and front/rear Aero. Panda is a nationally winning SM car for many years running at this point, and it does you no good to compare your car to it timewise. You're also on pilot super sports if I recall correctly? If you want to be serious with the legacy and autocross then you need to get some RS3s or RE71Rs. I would recommend the RS3 since they're cheaper and will last longer for 98% of the grip of the RE71R.
  3. Glad you made it home. Good to see the legacy back out there!
  4. No need for the little blue pills when there's talk of suspension tuning huh? Maintenance = the same shit you do anyways. Prepare = register and bring water. Seriously, autox is the easiest thing in the world to prepare and do maintenance for especially if you aren't SRSBSNS about it.
  5. I know, i've been drooling over these ohlins. Brand new Ohlin DFV from performance shock inc in CA, just under 2700 shipped to my door with the 800/700 springs. I'm very excite.
  6. Don't think I've touched my sway bars since putting them on. Hotchkis 25F/22R with the rear on the stiffest setting. 100% happy with how it handles, very neutral with a hint of power on oversteer when wanted. Koni with epic springs all around, again more stiff in the rear than in the front. No brake upgrades other than Stoptech streets since I don't track that car. S2000 is getting some major upgrades for next season though, going to STR with it. Revalved Ohlins for 800F/700R springs, rear sway bar(already have the big front bar), camber ball joints, 17x9s with 255 tires, seat, intake/header/high flow cat with tune on greddy emanage. Throw a corner balance/alignment on it and call it a day.
  7. So go out and do it. Autocross is easier on the car than anything else you can do and it's cheap to get into. It can be expensive, but only if you start to get all SRS BSNS about it. I autocrossed the legacy for 2 and a half years before I bought a separate car that I autocross now, and the legacy is a daily. A 194k original motor original turbo daily. As long as you take care of your cars, they'll take care of you.
  8. Same here. DGAF what it looks like as long as it performs well.
  9. I forgot you had all that! You still spend way too much money on jdm things.
  10. Famaya is a rice kid at heart. spends lots of money on things that look almost exactly the same as the stock ones. Like, no one outside of this forum will know that they're JDM. Performance parts that make the car drive better? nope.
  11. How much would you get for it? Would that money be better spent on other things with no emotion attached to it?
  12. Spotted solidxsnake at the autocross event this weekend, gave him a ride in the S2000 and some tips for autocrossing his legacy.
  13. Where in Methuen? I'm closing on a house there in less than a month!
  14. first post back here in a couple months, but ABP sedan on 93S this morning. We waved, it was a special moment.
  15. Friend of mine has swapped the 2.5 into his NC, it moves pretty well. Another autocross buddy is doing that same swap for his NA, and turboing it at the same time. Not sure if I've linked this thread in here or not, but it's bonkers. It starts with him using the 1.8, and over the next year or so is when he's doing the 2.5 swap. http://www.miataturbo.net/build-threads-57/ssm-ahead-schedule-67828/
  16. Having seen that video when it was first made, I feel super special now.
  17. I think the driver occupancy sensor is just a plug underneath the seat. I unplugged mine to not get the chime for autocross while I wore a schroth harness and not the stock 3 point.
  18. Just go full retard - http://www.miataturbo.net/showthread.php?t=67828
  19. I think you'll be happier with those than with the full bucket one. Good choice!
  20. Nah, the real reason is that I'm just kind of an asshole and like giving people crap.
  21. The real question is why did you post this in both the rice thread and the redneck thread?
  22. I hope your mechanical skills are greater than your spelling and grammar.
  23. That's my area-ish, but mine is blue and I don't touch the connector. Spotted a bright orange LGT on rt. 3 south the other day near nashua
  24. rent a slide hammer and the correct attacher for 5x100, and it's cake. http://www.scoobymods.com/showthread.php/diy-4th-gen-legacy-rear-14125.html http://www.scoobymods.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9624&d=1343099512
  25. Not necessary, but probably more fun with studs.
