  1. It's been really awesome seeing you improve this season. You're really starting to get the hang of it! That 6 seconds off my time is damn impressive IMO, PSS are definitely your limiting factor there. Also really glad you're figuring out the slide thing, it's good to have that rear end dance around a little, but not so much that you could be a stunt driver for tokyo drift. If I can offer a recommendation, don't go to R comps. When it rains, you're screwed, and you absolutely can't drive them on the street in any capacity. I suggest buying the bridgestone RE-71R in whatever size will fit well on your second set of wheels, and feel free to pick my brain on what size that is as well. The stones are the best street tire in the rain period, and they actually were faster than hoosier wets at a prosolo event earlier this year. Best wet grip + one of the two best dry tires = the tire to have. I swap mine on the night before autox, drive to the event on them, then drive home and swap them off. Makes my mornings less stressful at the event as well. Regardless of what you choose, it's awesome to see you getting out there and driving your car like it was designed to be driven! Glad to hear it! That's the thing. Autocross is cheap. If you're comfortable driving your car on the street, then it's probably safe to autocross. Feel free to PM with any questions!
  2. spotted Jerry yesterday at the last autox of the season. Looked good out there Jerry, getting new tires next year?
  3. Thank you! Your post has made me want to rebuild mine even more than before. That's crazy $$ for a starter.
  4. spotted a pretty visually modified black legacy on 128S yesterday, looked like they did a wheel delete mod. Seriously though, looked like the wheel had come off or was about to. Also another one on 28 in north reading this morning, silver.
  5. White lgt sedan on 93 south this morning. Rally armor flaps, wrx wheels. I was in mine
  6. s2000 top was easy! I did mine in about 6.5 hours with a friend, counting an hour break for lunch/beer. There are a couple awesome write-ups on s2ki, definitely recommend doing it yourself.
  7. stretched tires, lowered to non-functional height, obviously caged for looks and not for racing since the paint is all nice and not beaten up, that's the pinacle for Race Inspired Cosmetic Engineering. It's supposed to look like a drift car but not actually be one.
  8. Do you have someone to hold pressure on the breaker bar while you hit it with a BFH?
  9. There's already a guy who makes these, block8head on facebook. they're quite well built.
  10. Never checked for the 3 dimples but the reman axle I got from autozone has given me zero problems.
  11. All of these questions are answered in this thread. 1 - rockauto or autozone axles are fine, both have core charges. 2 - just call autozone and ask for an axle for an 05 legacy gt, 7336 3 - http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4948590&postcount=559 http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/5mt-axle-seals-230862.html
  12. it brings warm fuzzy feelings to my heart seeing herrafrush cars still posted in here.
  13. It's function not form. the exact opposite of rice.
  14. obviously if other people can hold up to 20psi+, it shouldn't matter what turbo they're running to do that. 20psi = 20psi no matter what's powering that. This kit actually fixed my leaking intercooler, look back in the thread for my pics about it.
  15. Abp 2.5i 4 th gen at Wal-Mart in Chelmsford, rally armor flaps, wrx wheels and a shift Knob
  16. Let's agree to disagree there. Edit: I also see that you removed most of your post. I'll leave this here to remind everyone what you said first.
  17. gotta have that N/A boost gauge so you know how much boost you aren't making!
