  1. Can you elaborate a bit on your impressions after the swap? I've heard anything from "I hardly noticed a change" to "it rocks". What psi were you running? I have almost everything for the tdo4/tmic swap but haven't had the time to do the install.
  2. I think this is one of the best posts on bbs to install a tmic and turbo. The OP installs a td05 but it is the same procedure for a td04.http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=38598 A Forester XT or 06 wrx tmic are a direct fit. You could use an 02 wrx tmic but you will have to shave the TB or bash in the firewall. GTeaser, how easy was it to set your mbc to the correct psi? I have an ebay mbc that was recommended to me over on bbs and it was only $30, but I don't think it will be as easy to set as a Hallman.

  4. 22T and ARPs! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/4AE756BE-F49D-448E-B5CC-B27582C20AD4_zpsfkmbv8uc.jpg
  5. Sorry, I'll slow my roll. On another note my arp head studs just arrived! I'm going to do a full 22t tear down and rebuild with the 205 heads! I'm taking a ton of pics. I wish the shop would hurry up with the headwork! Hey, if anyone needs a turbo legacy radiator bolt I have one for sale, lol. Just kidding.
  6. Pics just in! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/8A2EF5AA-27AD-43A0-A6C1-70C9D0E4BAD4_zps0z9dsha2.jpg http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/233413B8-0F39-4288-8138-975BBCD6FA45_zps4eirebyh.jpg
  7. They should be the same. Depends though, some of the 22es have the roller rockers but from what I read it doesn't matter since the cams are interchangeable. I'll go snap a pic or two in a minute and post it up! As soon as I'm done putting my rc helicopter back together, lol.
  8. I can pull a set out of the heads and ship them to you with your pistons. A set of wrx cams weights about 16 pounds, and a 22t has only two cams so should weigh a lot less. You can have them for $25. I don't know if the rocker arm assembly is useful to you or not. If anyone needs a timing kit I have one everything including a tensioner. The kit was installed on my SS right before I bought it and I put on a new one. The water pump is brand new, never installed but is for na so only one water port not two like the 22t pump. OEM belt. $50 would be a good deal for someone who needs one. Just trying to help my buds out!
  9. Started a for sale thread on NASIOC for all my turbo leggy parts.http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2699766 Someone needs all that junk, lol. The 5mt w/pedal assembly would be good for someone who wants to swap out their 4eat. Can't even give away 22T heads these days!
  10. I have a set of 22t pistons w/rings, rods, and wrist pins, circlilps, if you need them.
  11. That reminds me, I also have the SS 5mt driveshaft and trans crossmember for that bad boy. I even power washed it so it looks pretty good. It wasn't too bad getting it out of my wagon at the car wash but holy hell it was hard to lift back in by myself and I only weigh a buck twenty, lol.
  12. Hmm post was hacked up - fixing... Hey guys, I have been collecting parts for my second gen turbo swap for a couple of years but now that I have the 03 wrx I don't need any of this stuff. Some of it might be useful to you guys. I'm going to start a for sale thread but thought I'd give you guys a heads up before I post it up. Other stuff was for my wife's SS that I gave her but it seems the stock power levels are enough for her at the moment. I tell her to stomp on it and go fast but she gets scared lol. But she loooves her SS. Jdm ver6 STi 4 pot front calipers w/brackets Jdm ver6 STi single pot rears (same as SS rear calipers) Jdm ver6 STi front control arms w/ball joints (have rear trailing arms but don't think the will fit our chassis) Jdm ver6 hub assemblies (wheel bearing/knuckle assembly) FXT/06 wrx tmic (perfect fit on our first gens) Tdo4 w/slight shaft play - clean turbo. I'd run it all day. 02 wrx Crushed bov 02 wrx body&engine wiring harness w/ecu Two sets ej22t heads Two ej22t complete intake manifolds (no injectors) An ej22t oil squirter or two Two wrx intake manifolds (one bare, one complete) 02 wrx hood scoop w/splitter (red) Wrx coolant tank - get rid of your plastic tank. It WILL fail on you 03 wrx heads including cams and valve covers but w/small spark plug cracks and one burnt valve. I'd run them no problem after getting them surfaced with a new valve. 03 wrx short-block (some interest already) 02 wrx coolant crossover pipe 02 wrx cam gears Mrt performance 3" turboback exhaust - the only exhaust made for first gen turbo leggys. Sad to see this go. Wanted to out it on the SS but wife changed her mind about wanting a cool exhaust. Smh. Wrx small coolant hard lines Wrx cam sensors Two full sets of SS front and rear axles - yes I have 8 axles, lol. One set has torn boots but otherwise in fine shape SS steering rack - love this rack. I couldn't wait to install this but don't need it now. SS 5mt w/rear vlsd (this was hard as shit to find. Maybe I'll swap it into my wrx) SS 5mt pedal assembly SS 5mt hydraulic clutch cylinder & slave (have two of these) Wrx 5mt pedal assembly Wrx hydraulic clutch cylinder and slave 02 Wrx steering wheel Ej22t stock pistons and rods Wiseco ej22t forged pistons with pins and rings and circlips (about 800 miles on them. Was going to use them for my hybrid but I think I will get custom JEs made instead) $550 new but mine will go for cheap. Ej22t timing belt kit (idlers, pulleys, belt, tensioner) almost brand new Ej22t used water pump - I wouldn't use it lol Ej22e water pump - new never used A few other small bits, lol. I think I have problem. Time to stop hoarding parts I'll never use (well, probably ha ha). I am selling everything for less than I paid for them and happy to give you guys a good deal.
  13. MAzkp5Fd . It WILL fail on you 03 wrx heads including cams and valve covers but w/small spark plug cracks and one burnt valve. 14. The Out hose is part no. 72015 AA020. In hose is part no. 72015 AA030. You can download the Subaru FSM and parts catalog here: http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/tech.html
  15. Picked this up today with cracked head cylinders (teeny spark plug cracks). http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/A6FD0DDB-B344-450A-ACDB-6BE409B3E0B1_zpscdtkenql.jpg Now I know where the 22T is going, lol. She's filthy with bald tires and worn pads. SPT front strut brace, SPT fatback, and otherwise stock a/120k on the chassis. Shortblock is good, no spun bearings, minimal shaft play on the tdo4. Looks like it was babied and the owner wasn't the type to race or launch. I have a nice set of 205 heads w/shimless buckets sitting in the basement so it won't take much to get her back on the road. New clutch too. I've been collecting parts for my turbo swap for a couple of years so I will have a shit ton of parts for sale, lol. Complete wrx wiring harness w/ecu, tdo4, jdm STi 4 pots w/single pot rears, jdm control arms w/ball joints and knuckle assemblies, the cracked cylinder heads, 205 shortblock, few sets of wrx cams, SS 5mt w/vlsd...
  16. Thanks for the links guys! I would need to get a few ducks I a row before making a road trip. Don't hate me too much but I'm looking at a 03 WRB WRX tomorrow morning with a blown motor for 3k. Nice body, clean interior, worn tires and cracked cylinder heads. I just so happen to have a very nice set of 02 WRX heads with shimless buckets sitting in the basement so I could have it on the road pretty quick. I have NO plans to sell my SS! But I could reluctantly part with my second gen if tempted. Too bad the blue wagon's ad has been deleted. Anyway let's see some 22t pics!!! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/CD6E2765-66D0-4CC7-9C87-666FB8308DF3_zpsh7yvrhd1.jpg Crank is now cleaned and polished. It's within specs so OEM mains are a go! http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/72A56EEA-E697-486D-AF68-80CE808C8339_zpsvo5bal4o.jpg Nothing like a fresh decked 22t. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/1562DDAC-37E8-412C-897A-4119277BAC20_zpsuszksbqk.jpg Nice cross hatching. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/3E7DE873-5D01-4DD6-B926-503F5B6DF0CD_zpsnqiqjvdp.jpg My 15 & 1/2 year old Alaskan Husky. First saw him when he was just born on my wife's birthday. He broke a claw so we went to the vet today. Don't know how the pic got here, lol. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn41/henry616/Mobile%20Uploads/3319E1C5-8974-4180-B773-1495D163D7AE_zpsirvayfi2.jpg Wiped the bores down with oil and placed them in bins. Next step is to order bearings and .020 rings and a few gaskets and I can assemble the shortblock.
  17. 22t block was bored, honed, and decked today. I can't wait to pick it up and see all the nice shiny surfaces. I'll probably drop it in my 95 BK L. I'll get it running with the stock ecu on wastegate pressure, make sure it doesn't leak and turn up the boost. Then probably get a megasquirt setup. If I found the right first gen wagon I'd drop in that but it's hard to find a clean first gen out here. I've been trying to get my climbing buddy to sell her garage kept 91 but she ain't budging!!!
