I really like my Stoptech. Except, they dust a fair amount on the front. But they have worked well for 6 years includes one track day (can't believe they have been on that long) Again though....they are dusty. -

Looks like no. Legacy GT size only. Import image racing is where I bought mine. -

I was in second or third. Running Intelligent (I.e. my low boost map) fixes it. I guess I should get replacement hoses and see if I can clean my GS ebcs. My other thought is oil in the intake (forged pistons more blow by) maybe clogged it. -

In other news. Turns out the popped off hose isn't the cause of my CEL. I guess I need to actually data log / do more investigation. I did overfill the oil a little. I wonder if that could cause it to be somewhere it's not supposed to be and somehow cause an issue. -

How I feel all the time now. But gearing up to do a bunch of maintenance items to my car. Step one is clean the garage... -

There is a rusted out (for a CA car) Datsun 510 wagon that's used as a workhorse near me. Such a cool wagon. On the Outback front - going to replace all my wheel bearings / brake rotors / brakes. Ordered NSK for the rear. haven't settled on the front. My wagon just sounds loud inside and I am assuming it's worn out wheel bearings at 160k miles. I have had the same brake rotors for many many years and it's probably time for new ones. Going Project Mu on the front and super cheap $32 brake pads on the rear. -

There is a 3 inch lift available for the Sienna AWD and Ford is releasing the transit with AWD and the twin turbo v6 for 2020 SMOG exempt VW van sounds pretty good too. I was talking with a shuttle owner in Moab who uses the VW vans and said he burns a turbo up about every year, throws a new one on (Subaru turbos) and keeps chugging along. Unsure how that turbo blows and doesn't destroy the engine though. But, that would be pretty cool. Old VW vans are pretty cool. Don't really relieve any "It's nice to have shit that doesn't break" stress though. -

Nope no Tribeca. I do have an AWD Sienna. It's great allows me to overpack and still have all seats free. I can't believe Rebourne made it so long in an Evo X. I drove to Palm Springs and packed just for two people (plus all my biking gear and bike on the roof) and I was annoyed with how little room I had. My wife was sitting so close to me. Have I mentioned how much I like sliding doors for carseats? They are the best. The minivan is also surprisingly sporty. I know I am not going to sell anyone else on it. But, it's like a giant (poor fuel efficiency - just like my OBXT) wagon. -

I also drove a GTI amazing fun car. Annoying as **** FWD. Interior is such a nice place to be. Terrified of VWs reputation for reliability. Especially now that I have had a "reliable" Subaru -

Yep, I waited a couple years before I put mine on and was kicking myself that I waited so long. Should have done it ASAP. -

Didn't look at fuel trims. I was tuned around this time and have boosted many times in colder weather. Edit: yep, I blew one of the hoses that connects to the ebcs and the turbo off. It's the one that I didn't get a zip tie around. -

Yes, I used it to clear the code so I could use cruise control. My AFR looked normal. BtSsm was reporting 21 to 22 psi, so over boosting for sure. But I wasn't looking at WGDC, etc. Mostly it was a it's 6am and I have been driving since 445am. I know it's caused by over boosting. I'll stop that from happening and deal with it all later. Haven't dug through what else to look at yet. For a DD the stock setup is great and lighter. Adding the weight to the front wheels was noticeable. More mass = more resistance to fade and better heat tolerance. Unneeded on most cars. Better pads is all that's needed for a DD. -

I bet if you just tighten the oil filter slightly it goes away. Went on a 900 mile road trip to Palm Springs and back. In the first 150 miles I threw a PO0244 code and pretty sure I was overboosting. High pitched whistling noise when the turbo spools passed 10 psi. I out it in Intelligent mode and ignored it. My car feels really slow in Intelligent mode (I get like 11psi of boost instead of 18.5) My hope is that something somewhere disconnected. It's also possible my EBCS is no longer working exactly as it should and needs to be pulled off and cleaned. The whistling doesn't sound like metal on metal (or I am telling myself that) so pretty sure it's a hose / loose connection / pinprick. At least I am telling myself that. -

I had a feeling they would work better with an Auto. Glad to hear you like them! -

umm if you are at the limit of your GS TMIC the next step is a FMIC. Not a prettier hood scope. -

Gold standard for all season seems to be DWS-06. They aren't $70 a tire though. -

My dad and my stepmom both complimented me on the sound of my cars exhaust with the nameless 5. So it does sound great. I am just being a baby about a little drone. -

That was mostly what made me pull mine off. A lot of highway trips with a baby in the car and a little drone. It wasn't that bad - but I prefer hearing my transmission whine from all my mounts and not an exhaust drone. -

Yeah - that's eventually an option. My oem mid pipe flanges are rusted so I have a built in Hawgzwast mod already. -

True dat. It's the boat I am in now. I have had it off for about a year because of that. I got it sounding pretty good. But, my sensitive ears need a little quieter. -

You are going to have to roll something. I am sure. We have all had to. Even on OEM wheels + 225/55/17 tires I was wearing away my front fender liner. While I love the idea of it. I don't love that car. I think ours look better (especially the JDM models). that just looks awkward to me. I think a lot of it is it looks too much like a hatch back to me. The third window is too small. Those were the wheels I was going to buy before I found my blue ones. It's great to see what my car could have looked like. -

How do I tell what year a nose cut is? is it just looking at it and comparing to known facelifts? https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-05-08-Subaru-Legacy-Outback-BP5-Front-Nose-Cut-Hood-Bumper-Healdights/283412462253?hash=item41fcb2faad:g:v6AAAOSw95FZaO12#viTabs_0 This is pre-facelift right?
