  1. I want to say yes. But really the answer is no. I am not sure how it interfaces with the center console trim / carpeting. and it seems like the center cubby sits on top of it? It seems too long for the area it's supposed to go in. I'll just wait for more pictures. I am super jealous that you have it though. I have wanted that for years.
  2. How does it connect up front to the AC system? The transmission tunny is in the way. Mostly I have no idea where that big piece on the left goes.
  3. I think that about solves it. Replacing this wouldn't make a difference. It fits a vareity of cars with different steering ratios. You would probably need the ABSHCU from an STI?
  4. True - no weeds is why I did it. And, I don't have to worry about snakes. I do have flies. They are like large gnats and they just buzz all around my property. No idea where they came from or how to kill them. They aren't attracted to the smelly normal fly trap bag or the fruit fly trap. I guess a insect light is the next step.
  5. Was it that specific steering angle sensor? That doesn't make sense to me because the 2015+ WRX STI has a hydraulic steering rack, not electronic. Were you looking at the 2015+ WRX steering angle sensor and not the STI? I wonder if it's just an expensive way of making sure the system never does anything? Because now that I think about it there is some difference to how the WRX STIs account for wheel speed, etc when compared to the Legacy's. The best way is probably the Arduino controller to "scale" the steering angle sensor
  6. My front yard has been a black plastic tarp for a year. My neighbors have to hate it. It looks so trashy. I really really need "fix it". I need to remove some dirt off the top and load it with 3 inches of wood chips. Would look "better" and give me time to figure out what I want to do.
  7. Very happy. It works Really well. Easy to remove just the center for oil changes and keeps the engine bay clean. I guess I could have left a little more on. But happy with it.
  8. It will just be a white room with a white ceiling. If you paint it white it will just look "stark". Why not go with an actually bright color - blue, yellow, green etc to make it not look sad?
  9. What size and offset rims? What size tires?
  10. I really liked the 29 inch wheels. I guess to be fair I should probably try 27.5s at some point. But, pretty sure I'll like the 29s better. It also seems to me that in general the industry is moving to 29s.
  11. My VP Free with its stupid high (by modern terms) bottom bracket etc etc has done so good. But really trying to figure out what I want going forward. And realistically it will be less lift assisted more local rides. Basically I will need to pedal up. Rented a Trek Stache 29x3 is super fun to monster truck over things. But I think I want a bike in between a my hard tail and DH bike. Demoing a SC Hightower this weekend. That should help narrow it done. Can't beat YTs cost...
  12. The problem with looking at bikes. I started with an idea of a 2k budget and now I am talking myself into 5k.... Maybe I'll just demo / rent all summer.
  13. What is that? A bunch of mom's about to do their shopping?
  14. "medium" I know that's super unhelpful guy that did it 7 years ago just had three levels. Light, medium, dark.
  15. Yes, they will hit over big bumps if you have people and things in the back seat and the trunk. But it's okay, because even if you swap over to them you will probably still hit them until you change out the rear uca to an lgt. If hitting them matters to you change them out. If you are diving around mostly on your own without stuff in the trunk and don't care if you hit / use them. Do what you want.
  16. I don't know this area for hidden dh at all. I was at Crockett hills which is all xc. My hidden dh has all been done at Tahoe. I periodically see people disappearing into the woods in DH gear all around the bay area but because of the poison oak I haven't really had a desire to follow them. Santa Cruz supposedly has some of the best hidden trails in the world though.
  17. Pretty sure if I tried that I would find all sorts of new rub. Hoping for a track day this year. So will see what I can get to stop rubbing before then.
  18. Correction: unreasonable fitment. 18x9 et 40 255/40/18. With substantial fender work to get them to not rub. Rears needed a 5mm spacer to not rub the inner fender liner. I think 18x8.5 et 40 245/40/18 would have fit with little drama.
  19. 26x14x14 should fit. Bike trailer won't fit (too wide I think). Bob jogging stroller fits (with wheels off) It's reasonable space, but it's not that large. Basically I can fit the same amount of stuff in the trunk as the Skybox, just can be longer.
  20. And......your exhaust sounds good? Sounds bad? To much drone? Unrelated non sequitur?
  21. The first time I had to cut the bolts off. After that if you take them off once every six months it's not too difficult I have done just the downpipe, I put one in with a high flow cat, I didn't notice any difference in sound. Once tuned though a lot more difference in power.
  22. Just unbolt one muffler and get bolt some scrap metal over the hole.
  23. So, I have two bikes - Hardtail 26er and Full Suspension VP Free. None of which really do that well in this area. I also want modern wheels 27.5 or 29ers. I road a Rocky mountain at Mammoth a few years ago and it was amazing how much better the bike felt with 27.5s on it (and I was comparing it to by VP Free) The hardtail does fine I guess, but it's slow and not as fun as a FS bike (for me) Looking for a low(ish)travel, full suspension, slack new bike. Really I need to test ride some, because I am not sure that the "modern suspension" design is something that's really necessarily for me. I also don't have any spare parts to put together a bike and would need everything. Usually once "everything" hits it's more effective to buy new. I'll spend some time on PinkBike and try and price it out before I buy anything. Just looking for something "fun" to ride on local trails.
