  1. they make one stock.. its called the outback sedan.
  2. seems like he'd only need 2 bling rims.. the ones everyone sees. The other side could be normal race rims. I know a guy from TN who actually bought 2 different sets of rims, 2 each and put 1 kind on 1 side of his truck, and 1 kind on the other. his logic was no one eever sees both sides at the same time, and it makes people doubletake.
  3. if its any consolation its classics that for the most part no one wants or even remembers...
  4. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=61015&stc=1&d=1228931785
  5. that poor car.. mutilated like that.. thats the 1st car I've seen thats been done like this that would be considered at all desirable. It seems like what they rre doing is taking junk cars no one wants and.. well.. keeping them that way.
  6. that picture appears to have been taken with a Kodak camera. Mine has the same date stamp font and color and size for the photo. the date stamp is the only thing I found interesting about that pic.
  7. sponsored? I seriously dont think these companies would want these individuals representing their products. I mean, if every time you go home some guy in a skittles mobile has his headlights in your rearview playing loud ass bass filled rap music and annoying you to insanity on your commute in bumper to bumper traffic.. is that gonig to drive you TOWARD skittles? No.. dont think so.. or worse around here are the ones that are low income donks where the logo is all faded, the rims are filthy, the system is loud but the exhaust is louder cos its holy, and it blows out black smoke every time it inches forward in traffic. UGH.. how did this theory post become a rant?
  8. I keep expecting to see one of these things upside down on 285/75/85/20. The people that do this are not normally drivers of pickups and dont understand the meaning of the words TOP HEAVY.
  9. ya know pics dont describe the nasty of these cars. One thing you may not notice from the pics, but with donks its also quite popular to have 3-4" dual pencil cut exhaust tips coming out at an angle on either side of the rear wheels with flowmasters. To see a crown vic driving around as tall as a truck with exhaust thats just as loud... :vomit: I honestly wasn't aware this was a southern trend.. I figured it was just.. like lowriders and whatnot ya know.. just a form of bad taste car modding.
  10. cos he learned from all of our mistakes. and I suppose hes talented too.
  11. really short posts must be cool or something..
  12. yea.. I see it all the time. another popular thing to do with donks (as pictured there kinda..) is brand naming a car. They paint the car a specific color and put corporate logos on the vehicles. I saw one in lithia springs that was "FINDING NEMO" on the side and had the fish on it and everything. other brands that I've seen is Reeses, Budweiser, and Dr. Pepper. this isnt the one I saw, but heres an example: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=60794&stc=1&d=1228419440 oh yea.. and the bud car had a giant pair of blue BALLZ hanging off the back. If you dont know what I'm talking about.. well you're lucky.
  13. no I live around these people.. I see this crap all the time. I can associate very well with the redneck car thread and the donk thread.
  14. they're covers.... designed to keep brake dust off rims. the holes are for ventilation.
  15. donks=epic fail. I see this crap all the time. How can someone honestly think that looks good? Then again.. the urban dress code also tends to be wearing their pants around their knees.. so I guess there are just some things that are beyond rational comprehension.
  16. probably. But it looks like its limited a good bit to what it can do. I imagine a device that small isn't going to be particularly powerful. I limit myself to windows boxes for carputer stuff, even tho its severely overblown for what we need, it means that theres more software out there for it. I should avoid this thread.. I start talking about this stuff and it makes me want to try again.. this is too expensive of a hobby right now for me!
  17. where are you located eggy? There may be a member near you that's willing to help. In all honesty most of the in car installation is fairly easy to do. The car comes apart in just a few minutes (or at least after you've done it as many times as I have.) The hardest parts for me was a power source (since I ran one directly from the battery.. finding a hole in the firewall was nearly impossible.. wouldn't recommend it.) and getting cables under the carpet on its way to the trunk. I wouldn't put it in the trunk if I had to do it again tho. Too much trouble. One thing to mention, you can put in a navi system in the dash, or there's a guy here on the forums that can actually separate your climate control and radio and put in a separate unit. I'm sorry I don't have the name handy or I'd give it to you. If you put a navi system in the cubby you have to cut the dash support, which is fine as long as the radio fills that hole but I suspect the dash may sag w/o the support. You can also buy complete carputer stand alone boxes, but they are not cheap. http://www.mp3car.com has a great online store with lost of resources.
  18. this person had a paudling county plate. I suspected a member because the car was tinted.. and nobody buys a lifted sedan unless they mean it.
  19. ok.. so then you make about 4-5 times what I do.
  20. I dont guess you have a house that needs any work done to it... every spare penny I get that doesn't go into my car payment goes into my house..
  21. where are yall getting all this money in a recession? I cant put a damn cabinet in my bathroom...
  22. not really.. found out last week my neighbor has been using my trash can..
  23. he wasn't very aggressive.. I was driving like a bat out of hell.. but I normally do that anyway. Its hard to get out there sometimes.. and the guy was nice enough to let me in.Or keep a large gap that I took up..
