  1. You technically don't have to though. It will quickly readjust the fuel trim if the vacuum leak is really gone. You can confirm by watching the live log from romraider.
  2. Nice work. Let's see how the idle fuel trim behaves after you tighten that clamp then. +/-5% is OK.
  3. Where are the 15 or 18" subs to hear and feel the engine roar while playing ?
  4. Just changed it. I did jack the driver side. Trans oil did not leak. 5min job. Also changed rear right wheel bearing. Lasted 100k. That's pretty good.
  5. I am about to change the back-up light switch on one of my 5MT trans. Would trans fluid spill out? Would it help to jack the car as high as possible from the driver side?
  6. Nice. I have a good restoring kit for my headlights, but have been lazy to use it. However, two weeks ago I just went ahead and used a wet 'magic eraser' from Mr. Clean. It did a great job!
  7. mmh. Maybe I should do that too. I am scared to break stuff though. At least, next on my list is restoring my steering wheel, probably using this (I have the momo steering wheel with the wood piece at the top). I will probably restore the gear knob too. I also want to repaint the shifter bezel. Mine is awful. Will change the dash in a couple of months as well including the heater core. Probably should repaint the car as well Anyway, slippery slope of restoring an almost 20 year old car
  8. Talking about cleaning, I did some of it yesterday: restored the driver and passenger side front seat belts. They were filthy (I have tan interior). I wish I took before/after pics. They now look like new! Used pure 'super clean' solution and used a pvc pipe to clean the belt as shown in this video (go to ~47sec mark).
  9. I actually do this all the time using RainX. Yeah, amazing the amount of crud they gather.
  10. In my case, my DRL module is also disconnected, and I taped into a fuse, from the engine bay fuse box, to get the LEDs (shown on the above picture) to stay on while the ignition is on. These little suckers are pretty good quality: 5 years of use and still going.
  11. Forgot to report on the H9 bulbs I got. Well, they suck. Essentially no diff compared to what I had. They just seem weak to me.
  12. That is really nice. Also a good break from wrenching.
  13. The first post of this thread below describes a simple method to help you find vacuum leaks. You may want to give it a try. I think you can do it with this engine too. Wow. can't believe it was posted 10 years ago . Time flies..
  14. ok. looks like you have a vacuum leak somewhere (see the '12.30%' value). And because you have not driven the car yet, the other 3 values are still zero, as I mentioned in one of my previous posts.
  15. So now that it is running on your wife's laptop, do not update anything on it! If it ain't broke, don't fix it type of thing. With BtSsm, if the key is on the On the position where the CEL light is on with some other lights on the dash, then it can read the ECU and could report things such as coolant temp, and even pull an LV. Obviously, if engine is running, then any other parameter will be updated. I believe it is the same with Romraider.
  16. This is strange... You did not mention it, but did you also reboot the machine?
  17. I had a timing belt tensioner fail on me while driving . Somehow, I did not bend any valve. It was making an awful knocking sound (on the timing belt cover) until its bolt sheared off the tensioner bracket. So, if you suspect that is it, better check it quick! A video would also help.
  18. Ah man. I wanted to see some numbers and stuff already.
