  3. Well its to keep the oxygen out. If you have a small flame it does the trick

  5. Well the 3.8 is externally balanced meaning the flywheel has a weight on one side. I tool the original flywheel and put it along side of the new flywheel on a rod that fits in the center hole. I then turn one flyheel 180 degrees from the other. Then i used the forkes as leveling rails, found the heavy spot of the two flywheels that are bolted together . And i just kept drilling a hole to remove weight from the heaviest point. Untill there was no heavy spot. So the new flywheel was countering the old flywheel . And thus i have a flywheel that is balanced the same as the original!
  6. Quick mock up of the engine Today i ballanced my new hd flywheel using a drill press and a forklift ! I hope to put the engine back in this weekend
  7. Sounds like a performance transmission to me Probably just needs to learn its charatictics again The eltxm onlu learns when drivng 10-15% throtle

  11. Sounds like the banjo filters were blocked So you need another new turbo and maybe get another mechanic And get a non turbo car But start your own thread in the turbo powertrain section
  12. I got some ceramic exhaust coating ! Did it my self Just need scotchbrite the surface to take it from white to chrome like finish !

  14. Any atf fluid is fine imho. I have ran pretty much what ever comes on sale.
  15. From my Understanding the tcu only learns when between 10-15% throttle . It just needs to determin how much the clutches are worn
  16. it could be the tcu needs to learn how fast to engage a specific gear. to check if its slipping use manual mode and go full throttle in each gear for a few seconds . to get the tcu to learn you need to drive around between 10-15% throttle. and you should reset the tcu before doing so if you can.
