  1. those abs codes are always there. have you tried disconnecting the battery ? and is it code p0718 not p1718 ? if the p0700 codes come back you can disable p0700 in the ecm and the check engnine light will never come on for the trans again. but the actual codes will show in the odometer still.
  2. what did you try ? on the o5 you need to plug in the two green connectors burried in the fuse box by your left knee, ( they are there i promise ) then when you turn the key on during gauge sweep press the trip meter. thats all ..
  3. thats funny i have 3 2005 legacy's and i use the on board code reader all the time.. also if you look at my signature it clearly says all 05+ legacies have on board code reader. and its super easy to use.
  4. P0700 itself means nothing its normally paired with another code. You can see that other code with the onboard code reader in the odometer
  5. well there isn't realy room for v8 and stock subaru tranny i could draw one up for you for bolting the two together.. but there are still some issues related to the starter that would need to be overcome for manual trans to v6 or v8
  6. Yea as all the weight transfers to the rear. It seems my rwd/4wd conversion launches even harder as the fromt doesnt spin nor the rear. But the rear diff is taking it all mow !
  7. I had half shafts pop out of the rear diff
  8. I doubt an aftermarket one that is as soft as oem will last as long as an oem . If you want a stiffer one it may last a bit longer but driving quality of your car will likely be reduced.
  9. I dont see what a stiffer mount will give you. Just more noise and vibration. Certainly wont help with the feel from going to park to drive on the shifter !
  10. are you just looking for things to buy ? i can sell you all kinds of useless crap if you like
  11. Cleaning the inside of the throttle body may not help anything , this was an issue for carbon on cars with a iac getting stuck. You need to take the plastic cover off the side of the throttle body. If its a non turbo car is very easy . And clean around the magnetic pickup for the throttle position sensor. And put it back together. On turbo car you need to take off the throttle body. The gasket is actually a o ring and they usually dont break. The error code is for missmatch between the 3 different sensors in the throttle plate . Basically if all 3 arnt saying the same thing it sets code and outs car into limp mode.
  12. been working in newton for 3 weeks , just had to pick up my coworker at dsm
  13. i wouldn't say 1 foot ! usually 2" or less
  14. Fyi the parking pawl is only on the front diff. So the driveshaft is free when in park.
  15. i doubt it be enter diff stuff, because it would be banging when you turn. could be your drive shaft u joints. or something else is funky.
