  2. They are loud on cold start and WOT cruising around not too loud. I think of them as being as loud as a magna flow CBE without the drone.

  4. I just drove 140 miles round trip all I-70 avg speed around 75mph/ 3K RPM and there was no drone. I think in my mind the perfect tone is Bosal v1.5 SPT levels or Perrin cans or Borla CBE.
  5. As long as your is not the PZEV (CA Emissions variant) you can use the borla style UEL.

  8. We dont need 400hp but we do need to get past the interior cheap feeling I have a 2021 Ascent loaner and while the tech and mechanics are great. I def find myself commenting on the fabrics, rubberized plastics and that vanilla colored carbon fiber trim stuff across the glove box and doors lol. Even in the 2020 STi I can clunk the head liner and I swear there is merely a thin sheet of steel on the other side
  9. Yeah I just got my timing service and F/R Diff done. Ive been in a loaner Ascent for three days while they replace the airbag and I can honestly say I miss my LGT.
  10. True it was more a general analogy to the state of Subaru but for a 3 cyl AWD that little tank seem like a blast to drive! My LGT just tripped 200K original engine, newer turbo I had said I was going to rebuild the EJ and keep it moving but the 2.0T 6MT Accords are coming into a nice price range. Tough choice lol From a tuning perspective, the new BRZ has to have some upside right? that is a combo we wont ever see again (2.4DIT + 6MT) I wonder with the Ascent and some brave swaps over the past two years if COBB or others have been cooking up some tunes for that engine.
  11. Yeah this ^^^ is your best option but you will have to be willing to take a much lower price for the whole car unfortunately. If you part it, per the requests you are gonna get, you'll be pulling parts forever. Nice car all around just gotta find that person looking for a 05-06 with cash to buy. GLWS
  12. I like everything about this new BRZ and forget the numbers, the real hero spec is the 2.4DIT mated to a 6MT Subaru needs any and all sources of excitement these days, especially when the GR Yaris is as powerful and overall a better performer than the WRX/STi
  13. Beside the alignment woes, how does it sound?
  14. Recently my 08 LGT surges up to 1500-1800 RPM when I push in the clutch approaching a stop sign/intersection/creeping around a parking lot. It doesnt happen every time but their is no pattern/indicator of when it will happen. I was wonder what parameters can I log/monitor on my AP to help pinpoint the problem and if you have had this issue what can I examine to fix it? Could this be a sign of a failing fuel pump, injector, TB, TPS, IACV etc.? Thanks
  15. This is really the best option unless you found a salvaged complete decent mileage EJ255 from a 07-09 OBXT/LGT that you could literally pull and right in. If the rest of the car is in good shape and you arent ready to move on, you could spend anywhere from $2K to $6K(depends on level of DIY, labor and parts)

  17. Yeah your 46 is still solid as a rock like I wish it would develop play, had the DP off for coating couple weeks ago, check play, there was none.
  18. When you saying wiring, do you mean the in tank wiring or the whole harness running through the body to the tank? Or other ?
  19. Replacing my FP and injectors nearly 200K on both, priced out OEM replacement vs AEM 340 + ID1050x its not that much difference in price (New OEM Injectors not reman). Currently running Stage 2 custom tune 19psi, Any snags with using the AEM in stock housing? 1050x might be overkill but I'll be replacing the 46 with a 52, so I figured might as well get that out the way. Or should I go with a different FP + Inj combo?
  20. The one thing about a used DP is you dont really know the mileage and the condition of the catalyst. Also while the COBB is catted its not the same substrate was OEM (material or cell count) the OEM doesnt smell b/c there is a lot of catalyst catalyzing the exhaust gases. Some DPs are better than other, like Max I dont have any smell and I run a GrimmSpeed Catted DP. The more likely culprit is the Y-pipe flanges or a crack in the DP. The stock donut gasket and flange are not the best at sealing even if you buy a new gasket. The best way to tell is to look for an accumulation of soot around the flange. Also the muffler flanges are known to rot out and leak over the years. I know you tightened the turbo nuts and bolts but are you sure you got the one underneath all the way ? Do not wrap the DP, it might seem like the right thing to do, it is not.

Installed: GS DP GS EBCS GS Gaskets from turbo back JDM grille OEM turbo Inlet Flashed my Tuning Alliance 93OCT map i will say the turbo inlet is not that bad a job I guess the first time around i left the alternator in place and the coolant take attached the second time around it took under an hour to get the one out and the new on in. Do yourself a favor on the OEM Legacy GT Turbo Inlet install and order ALL the premolded hoses from the deal DO NOT try to use stock vac line its a waste of your time and makes the job MUCH easier. I ordered all the hoses and the inlet and use upgraded clamps vs the factory spring clamps.
  22. Def post up your location or make a Wanted To buy Thread , and you should get a lot of hits, it is fails. Just put on a Bosal or Walker Y pipe they are less than $200 shipped to you and its a 2.5i performance is not an issue keep it cheap and simple!
