First you want to research. Read all the stickies. Talk to friends or go to local meets.

Come up with a plan and goals.

Here's a similar thread to get you primed:

This!

It will be the best bang for your buck.

Also, depending on how many miles are on the car, make sure to check for shaft play on the turbo when replacing the turbo.

Maybe you can grab some of this stuff with great deals from some of the vendors for black friday/cyber monday.

Welcome and happy modding!

Here's more.

Hawk Ceramic pads and decent rotors. Buy them from "m sprank" or Mike at AZPinstalls.com

But all you can from them, they help out on here for free. You can't beat the customer service.

I'll third the UP/DOWN pipe and tune suggestion, at least unlock the stock potential.

Might I also suggest this mod (maybe you'll need time to get annoyed with the stock sunroof operation):

I was thinking about the sti up pipe and a down pipe, not sure on the brand though. Mine only have 60k on it right now with only one owner before me as well.

Have all the fluids been changed recently? That is always a good start.

For an 05 I would start with a suspension.

Also... A rainy day savings account!

Checked oil last night, its good. coolant was low, topped it off though. not sure where the tranny dip stick is though.

And i have been saving since the day i got it, so im good there.

Check the oil again in a few day's, until you know how much oil it uses.

Most guy's use Shell Rotella t6 5w-40. Castrol Synthic is good.

Both my cars have Amsoil 5w-40 European and there filters.

There are oil threads here.

Same for the tranny and rear diff oil
