Wish we could have matched the price. $19 was the closest we could get on the $1000 order. :(

Alright THMotorsports had the fidanza flywheel on back order. It never said anything about it online and they never said a word until today and the package has been out for delevery sense yesterday with just the clutch kit and is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I am pretty disappointed with their service.

Now I have $217 credit from them and I believe I'm going to ask for that money back and go with another company for a flywheel. The guy said that the fidanza has had troubles with throwing codes because its too light, but could just be feeding me a line of bull to make me feel better about them not having it in stock. Has anyone had this trouble with the fidanza flywheel or one of similar weight? If so what's another good LWFW to run?

The Fidanza flywheel is on national back order since 9/15, this is why they didn't ship it to you since all of these online order places just funnel their ordering into the 3 or 4 different distributors. I have not heard of any CELs from a LWFW ONLY. We've only seen this when coupled with a LW Crank Pulley.

Exedy and ACT make good LWFWs that should fit the bill for you.

< Rant >

Get's me very  when I see low-balling online Walmart folks just slinging stuff out without taking the time to actually check over what the customer wanted and verifying it shipped or isn't on back order etc. Very upsetting because when we take an order each and every order is verified because we don't slam out 100s of orders a day. < / Rant >

^^ I do agree with the above. I hate ordering online to find out it's drop shipped from the manufacturer out on the west coast. Drives me insane.

Right now I'm just trying to get my clutch BACK from ACT as there is apparently a production shortage of their HD pressure plates. They've had my clutch since the 3rd week in September...

Everyone drop ships their parts from a warehouse, but, the difference is that when we so, we look in the system and manual place each drop ship order so we know exactly what the status is. Mostly because we've been enthusiasts for 12+ years and we hate being on the other side of the coin.

This is the main reason I tell everyone I can to buy from you or m sprank. You can't put a price on customer service, until the online place screws you over.

Alright I got my flywheel in yesterday and was able to start putting everything back together. I was trying to get the transmission in and it is about 1/4 of and inch from being flush and I just cannot get it. Last time I did this it went right in but I also didn't take the clutch and flywheel off last time.

The only thing I can think of that would be stopping it is if one of the dal pins got a little bur or something on it or the pilot bearing isn't pressed in enough. When I pressed it in I put it dead center of the thickness of the flywheel and the bearing is recessed about 1/8 of an inch gap on front and back of flywheel. Anyone know if it needs to be flush with the back of the flywheel possibly? Or any other tips/cheat codes to getting this dang thing to line up? I did use the alignment tool on the clutch and it is facing the correct way.

Alright transmission is in and everything is put together. I start the car and pushed in the clutc and tried to put it in a gear and hit a wall. If I try to force it slightly it doesn't grind but it starts to roll the car like the clutch isn't disengaged.

I am going to try to bleed the slave cylinder again some tomorrow and maybe try to start it in gear and see of that frees things up. I was thinking maybe there is just a bit of contact sense everything is new kinda like noisy brake paddles when your replace them. Anyone ever come across this problem or have any advise?

Make sure the clutch fork did not fall of the pivot ball. That happened to me. With basically the same thing your seeing.

The piston on the slave cylinder has to move in a horzontal plane not at a downward angle.

Sorry I didn't check in on this thread over the weekend. I had to walk the tranny in the last 1/4" when I put the new short block in also.

IMO you should not have to do anything, such as bleed the slave if you haven't removed a line. Everything should work as it did before.

Also, the pilot bearing get's driven all the way in until is seats in the FW.

I used the tsk3 kit and so it held the fork in place with no problem. I can see that the ball is properly in the socket also from the shift fork hole.

The pilot bearing was pushed flush with the face of the flywheel when it was bolted up (didn't notice that until I dropped it again before getting it all the way flush with the engine).

I bled the clutch system and same thing, won't disengage. I put it in gear and then started it and there is no slipping what so ever.

The car is a 06 legacy gt 5mt with an ACT streetlite flywheel and a clutchmaters fx300 clutch. I wouldn't think having different clutch and flywheel brands would make a difference. I got both for an 06-07 wrx 5mt.

I read a thread of a guy that had this same issue with a spec clutch and it ended up being the clutch or something. But I am lost and I am dreading taking the transmission out again.

Anyone know if maybe those parts aren't compatible with my car?

Both flywheel and clutch kit is for 06+ wrx. When the car is on it won't go into gear and if I forc it a little bit it wines and kinda makes the car want to roll. With the car off it will shift through all gears perfect. If I put it in first and start it with the clutch disengaged (pedal down) and the brake on it tries to move forward and there is no giving on the clutch at all. That sucker is clamped. I double checked the linkage last night and everything is right.

There was a plate on the linkage that went on the side of the trans that has the rubber bushing that goes on a rod. The plate has like a hook on it and I wasn't sure what that was about or how to put it on so I just stuck it on and bolted the bushing on the bolt/rod sticking out.

Yeah, that should be fine. How does the piston look coming from the slave cylinder? It should be straight with no bend. Essentially you should be able to draw a perfectly straight line from the back of the slave thru the tip of the rod.

If it's angled in any way, the rod could have come unseated from the cup in the cylinder or odds are it may be the shift fork.

I'll be honest, it sounds like the shift fork slid off the pivot and down. It will look like it's seated properly but it's not. It will sit about a half inch too low and gives a slight angle to the rod coming out of the slave. You will still be able to bolt everything together with the fork unseated from the pivot...just no disengaging the clutch. And it looks almost right.

Maybe if you took a pic of ur slave/the top of the fork.

When I bled the system today the slave cylinder rod seemed to be straight. I can't tonight but tomorrow after work ill take the intercooler and fork boot off and have a look inside. I honestly really hope that's the problem and if it is hopefully I can just unbolt the slave cylinder and put the fork in place without taking out the transmission.
