99legacyturbo
Ever hear of a slipping clutch? http://chzmemebase.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/internet-memes-sarah-jessica-parker-is-a-great-mechanic.jpg Yes ever hear of a clutch that slipped in neutral but still was drivable with?????? You really should think over your posts before you post them dude that one was way weak
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted July 27, 2012 I Donated Share Posted July 27, 2012 See the thing is : When the kanooter valve gets hot enough from the slipping clutch it will expand, forcing the flywheel harder against the clutch disk. Not all cars have this. Its pretty much a Subaru specific thing. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." NWSPECB
That is the explanation for everything because every system in these car's is connected to that infamous Subaru kanooter valve. If the kanooter valve fails in any way there is no telling what could also fail. Should always be the first thing you check.

NWSPECB
You should always try to swerve around the cat's in the road. This is what happens when you speed up and aim for them.

99legacyturbo
I believe it I've seen worse but when you pulled this out was your car drivable? And not knowing any history I'd say either it's crazy old, you don't know how to drive(not suggesting this just saying that could be a way to wear out like that) or you had a rear main leak or some other leak of oil unto the clutch causeing it to fall apart
