This thread has pretty much everything you need to know with regard to the Koni Sport install:

The instructions that come with the Konis are easy to follow and understand. With that being said, I didn't measure from the top of the strut tower down to 40mm (~1.57") for the cut. I used a Brasscraft T005 pipe cutter with one side of the roller touching against the lower edge of the silver strut top. This became my guide for a perfect, and straight cut.

We use a pipe cutter to cut them as high as we can get them. Makes a nice smooth cut.

Installing my epic/koni combo today. Just wondering where to begin my measurement for cutting the top of the stock damper? Anyone done this install that could give me a guide point?

Were you able to start and finish the install?

Were you able to start and finish the install?

Started yesterday............but finished tonight. Easter Sunday and down to the wire. Came out nicely. Car is a totally different beast now! Plan on dropping it off for an alignment when I go to work in the morning. Wondering how long it takes for the suspension to settle in!?

Nice work, curious how you like it and the drive difference compared to the oem suspension after your alignment, fill us in...

Good stuff.

My car was aligned the day after the Koni install. I lucked out and used my iON springs that had ~28k miles on them, and had more than enough settling time/miles. Ride height has not changed from the installation to this date (18 days).

The stance on my car looks horrible! The rear of the cars seems to be stock and ther front has a significant drop. Looks real ricey! To top that off as I'm driving home today I hear a thump. Seems the rear springs have come off of the flimsy perches. Anyone have this issue and if so what's to prevent it from happen after I correct it?

When I got my Koni's last year I was annoyed with how not-user-friendly they were to adjust in the rear (I have a wagon, not sure how bad the sedans are). It is too time consuming. I changed mine a lot as I dialed them in initially. I still change mine here and there depending on how full the wagon is, so I wanted something to help with the adjustment. I found these:

They are a little pricey, but they work like a charm and have saved a fair amount time and anger. I also enjoy the precision they offer. I had a hard time ensuring the supplied Koni knobs were positioned as I intended with the lack of space. If anyone decides to get these, I would recommend that you make the hole in the trim about 3 times larger than the diameter of the rod. Otherwise they will pop off of the adjuster tab as the suspension goes through its' range of motion; I think the tab moves a little. For the wagon, they are the perfect length and require no trimming. One word of warning is if you are running spacers, you will have a hard time tightening the set screw that attaches them to the adjuster. I ended up taking a sharp hacksaw to shorten an Allen wrench. This allowed it to fit in the area when I was running spacers. No spacers, no problems.

Just wanted to put this out there as I have liked them. Probably very easy for someone to duplicate who has the right tools or connections.

I order theses we will se how they are

Tried to install my Koni this weekend.. but one of the Koni rears didnt have the ring that the lower spring perch sits on. Worst part was I didnt notice until I had the stock one out and disassembled!

Then I moved on to try to do the front and after an hour fighting the lower strut bolt, found out one of the bolts on the top hat was stripped and wouldnt come off. I will have to cut it off but didnt have a Dremel.

Needless to say, huge waste of time. Im currently on 1 Koni and the rest stock! Will have to wait until next weekend (assuming I hear back from the seller and can get a new Koni rear).

Thanks. I heard from the seller who says they are waiting to hear from their supplier. I wasnt sure if the snap ring was something simple enough to throw on myself. That would be ideal rather than returning the strut and waiting for a new one.
