alaskajoel
So a little while ago, a buddy of mine said he purchased a CF grill off Ebay for his LGT and really liked it. They offer a choice of black or silver mesh. The price was right, and I confirmed the simplicity of the return process if I hated it before buying. The seller is carlab-design-tuning, and the price was 132 + 32 shipping from Taiwan. They advertise as having the item ready to ship in 7-14 days, with another 7 days needed for delivery. Mine took a total of 13 days to arrive to me via international EMS mail. Packaging was probably the best I have ever seen for a grill. The AVO grill I had previously was basically thrown in a box with some packaging material, and wasn't pre assembled. This grill already had the mesh attached, and actually shipped in a wooden structure to provide more strength to the box. The grill was in styrofoam inside the wooden box. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd71/alaskajoel/P1020637.jpg Fitment did require a bit of modifying. It has a lip on the bottom of the grill to help attach it to the 05-07 bumper, but the 4 holes drilled for mounting were too small and slightly off. They would work if you used other hardware, but stock hardware didn't fit. I drilled out the holes another few MM, and with a little convincing, it fit much better. I used the beat up emblem from my OEM grill (lots of rock chips) and attached it with a combo of JB-Weld, 5mm bolts, and rubber washers + nuts. I'm pretty pleased with the result. It doesn't sag in the middle like the AVO grill did, but not quite up to the quality of the R-Rev grill. With that said, at ~$165, it's much cheaper than the other options, especially for CF. I apologize for some of the crappy pictures and the filthy car. Just wanted to give an idea of fitment. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd71/alaskajoel/P10206322.jpg http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd71/alaskajoel/P10206342.jpg

Aken
Thanks for the review - I was considering that grill but was atypically worried about the overseas quality. Car looks great!

OptimumLGT
Glad I found this thread! I just got my CF grille from the same place for my 07 LGT as part of my insurance money from a FEDex guy smashing the front end downtown. My question is, because I had to get a prepainted bumper off a '05 (Cheaper than Painting a new one) will the grille fit the same? It seems to have some space at the edges when I tried to fit it off the car.
