Sublimejoe
Looks Great!!! Thanks! I really wanted to have it wrapped in blue alcantara, but Im unwilling to pay $500+ to have it done.
GTEASER
Yeah, that's a bit pricey. I'd have heartburn with that too. It looks really fresh and new with dye job. Can't wait to see how the whole interior turns out!! Can't wait to see how the whole interior turns out!! Especially considering the wheel is from 1992! I think I am going to have the door panels dyed the same color, and the inserts wrapped in alcantara.

SubaruLegacy43
Mine is also Winestone on gold under the plastidip on the wheels. I dipped them for the winter to keep them out of the weather. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/19/1e3a75998048b8a99f0b7472fa031a63.jpg

Here's a pic for reference of diameters. Top stock 05STI ale back, stock SS axle back, borla hush. Of course the hangers are off and the borla needs to be exextended by about 8-10inches. Im going to just buy an aftermarket dp and extend it intead, figuring down the road it will be easier to resale the catback borla if necessary. Don't wamt to hack that up. Got it for 200$, fair deal I think. Anyone have pointers or mildly cheap recommendations for a dp??? Assuming it will be 3inch...from 02-07 wrxs

What wheels are those? Are you still on stock suspension? Anyone have pointers or mildly cheap recommendations for a dp??? Assuming it will be 3inch...from 02-07 wrxs You probably*know this but stock wrx dps are the same diameter as stock SS exhaust. Are you wanting to go catless? My exhaust is on the way from California and should be here Tuesday. The box weighs 75 pounds and was $230 to ship! The seller though it would cost about $30. I feel bad so I'm going to split the costs with him so he doesn't have to eat it all. Edited December 20, 2014 by monkeyposeur
TSwaggon
Yes still on stock suspension, for now. They are Konig wheels.
s2baru
That's exactly why I'm not going stock for a dp... or did you mean to say if I find 02-07aftermarket it will still be same diameter as my stock one?

Wow what a difference.. the bad....after sime high rpm snow drifting i have developed a lifter tick. Perhaps collapsed a hydraulic lifter. Try a lil seafoam in the am. MrTris
What's that? ...tcm? I'm unfamiliar Check the BBS. It's modding the TCU. Some people say ECM instead of ECU, too.
bcmaxx
transmission control module, only for the autos. changes the shift logic. gets rid of the tranny always trying to run the highest gear which to me is really annoying, hold rpm a little longer when shifting, kicksdown crisper and quicker. s2baru
Ok I gotcha. Buddy did something similar on his 98 na auto. Helped it out alot! Still can't hang with the SS though when we go out and rally some roads.
monkeyposeur
I did the power mode on my SS and it is a must do if you have a 4EAT. all you do is ground pin 4 of the tcu. You have to go to the junkyard and get the proper pin size since there are two sizes for the tcu. Then wide a simple toggle switch. I figured of how to make a switch that also had an led: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/rocker-switch-question-198670.html Turning the switch also leaves you locked in 50:50 so switch it off when you hit the freeway for better mpgs, lol. I decided I didn't need to do a 5MT swap after I did the mod since it made the car so much more fun (and since I gave it to my wife and she loves the 4eat). Stomp on pedal - go fast!!! Holds shifts almost up to 6k.
