bmx045
I understand, I'm just dreaming, I guess. What I did was log from 4k-6k , the point and time after the tc locks up so as to eliminate the beginning artifact.
bbarnhill
Dont stress you can always move the bars at the bottom of the run on the left side that trims by RPM.
TiredGXP
Heh, well now I know why everyone seems to be posting Dynojet charts - it's that 30 or so extra horsepower. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg268/TiredGXP/Dyno%20Plots/sept06-10.jpg

TiredGXP
Can't you use the tuning software (opensource/Cobb) to lock up the torque converter early? I use HPTuners for my GM, and it's pretty common to use it to lock the TCC prior to a dyno run.

bbarnhill
Have you compared what this run looks like in Virtual Dyno yet?
bmx045
No, romraider is a realtime plotter, you dont need to pull a log and input it. It know when you wot and it will plot only when wot when you tell it youre ready.
bbarnhill
Thats cool. If romraider has the functionality ... why are people even using Virtual Dyno with RomRaider logs?
bmx045
Not sure. Lol. A new version of RR just came out, maybe it was diff before and nobody liked it? I never used the dyno plotter on RR before the newer version. (try it out)
bbarnhill
I dont have a subaru ... I would like to know if the new RR dyno is even accurate. Thats why I asked if you had compared your results yet.

ibr_adam09
Red = stock ( I did 196/201 on a Mustang Dyno, so that's cool it was similar) Blue = was my most recent pull- infamous stage 2 (just up and catted downpipe) I never ran an actually dyno like the first. I wonder what numbers I'll pull once I install my ebcs , TMIC, and Catback. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p330/ibr_adam09/stocktostage2.jpg

bbarnhill
got some dedicated webspace but moving the site is being a pain. So in the next few days when they transfer my domain if I dont have everything moved there may be some server outages till I get it rebuilt. Just warning you guys of the move. Grab it now if you want it or it may be down for a few days. Thanks ... and bear with me as I move this thing to a more reliable connection and server environment. JDM SpecB
Waht the? Few questions...how do I give you my car details since under Subaru there is only option of 05-09 legacy 2.5GT 07 SE 08-09 2.5GT Mine is a 2.0ltr twin scroll so im not sure how accurate it will be?romraiderlog_20110906_1025am.csv
bmx045
you need to look up what your gear ratios are. you should be doing a 3rd gear pull from 2k rpm to redline in a log file. as you can see to the left, you can edit the parameters, so put in all the data you know. you must have an automatic because you can see the torque converter spike at the beginning. There should be an option for an auto 5eat LGT in there.... if you post up the log file we might be able to figure it out
bbarnhill
yeah automatics are going to have that spike at the front of the log. You can always trim it out using the RPM trimming. If your car isnt listed then all you have to do is post your car data like this: <CarMake>Subaru</CarMake> <CarModel>WRX</CarModel> <CarSubModel>Sedan</CarSubModel> <StartYear>2008</StartYear> <EndYear>2010</EndYear> <Weight>3190</Weight> <TransTypeManual>true</TransTypeManual> <TransGear3>1.296</TransGear3> <TransGear4>0.972</TransGear4> <FinalGearRatio>3.900</FinalGearRatio> <DragCoefficient>0.32</DragCoefficient> <FrontalArea>22.20</FrontalArea> <TireDiameter>25.07</TireDiameter>
JDM SpecB
thanks. how do I find out the gear ratios there?
bmx045
you need to search online for them. and then input it into virtual dyno, be warned, even when everything is input correctly, the number will probably come out incorrect. this prog is best used for before/after mods comparison.
