DirtyDan Posted January 22, 2011 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Last night on the way home, I got in my first stoplight race. It was about even with some kind of newer silver Honduh 2dr. First, I had a couple of early WRX's and the first thing I fixed was the transmission floorboard thump on 1-2 shifts. I was hoping a newer Spec B wouldn't have the same problem as a car that cost $15,000 less. Second, I guess I'll have to get used to a slow car. I've spent the last 20 years with 10-11 sec street cars that drove off and left 99% of cars in 2nd gear and there was no Honduh of any kind that was near a body panel after 3rd gear (usually headlights 3-4 bus lengths back). Oh well, only my GSX got near the same gas mileage, but wasn't as nice. However, it ran 11.20's @ 120+ mph with all power, a/c and full interior. It didn't look fast, the Spec B looks faster than it is. It's hard to let go of speed for comfort. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
