VTEC for my car

i just got to ride in a buddy's civic that has a spoon header and a aem intake and when he opened that thing up i couldn't believe how fast it was. almost as quick as my chipped lgt. what im wondering is if we can get one of these vtec things for our subaru's? i thought one of my civic buddies said that he heard about a guy with one on his sti and it was sick. can anyone help me out?

^^Hang onto them. VTec's tend to go bad unless you really beat on them all day. If you are going to daily the car, expect to use all 3 over the next 18 months or so.

trscobra, do the ones u have fit subarus? your local right? i could just come and pick them up if i can make them fit. im gonna call some shops tomorrow to see how much they charge for install.

 

to all of the rest of you jokers/haters why cant u just say yes or no so i no if these fit my lgt. i tried searching but it seams that everyone on this site is a hater when it comes to hondas and vtec.

vtec is universal, so they'll fit. You just have to be aggressive if you want them to last.

bac2.5 do they go inn the intake? my honda buddy is outta town in the army and wont be back until july or something so i cant ask him.

 

turntabel, fyi i reported your post to the moterators.

 

underground do the na subarus vtec add horsepower? i thought they just added torque and id rather have the horsepower instead so ill start looking for a honda vtec

You need the universal vtec. Honda vtec doesn't work on Subarus. The universal one is the only one you can get separately.

 

It does go in the intake. It's a good mod. I'll see if I can find the install instructions. I had them at one point.

vtec is better than a turbo.
