Hello there, Im new to LGT world and trying to save some money on parts....

Does anyone happen to have an aftermarket Downpipe or Catback for 05-09 LGT?

Look at the member classifieds, saw a couple but you might have to pay extra for shipping if they're even willing to ship.

I have a stock downpipe that has been gutted (no cat converters anymore) w/ a wideband bung welded in. Looking for $75 for it.

"Bullet-proof" your OEM TMIC! <<Buy your kit here>>

Not currently in stock :(

Reminder to everyone..

Our FS rules apply to the regional threads as well. If you have something to sell, or WTB, use the Marketplace to list it (rules for each sub-forum are posted at the top of that sub-forum - including this one). Then post the link to your thread in the regional thread.

Thanks and if you have any questions, please PM.

Probably better (marginally) than a LWFW, but still doesn't provide the balance to the crank that the stock dampener pulley does. Just don't combine the two.

Many of those who are running a LWCP are also running LWA and LWPS pulleys too. The idea is to reduce the amount of turning "mass" and free-up horsepower.

The lightest I recommend is a stock WRX FW and a LWCP. The stock CP is designed to dampen harmonic resonance in/along the crankshaft and to contribute to smooth off-idle and cruising-state power delivery. It's actually good for your engine.

If you lighten that too much, you lose the ability to dampen the harmonics, which can effect your engine longevity, and you'll definitely notice an effect on the twitchiness of the power delivery.

Rev easier, but lose revs much faster - and loss of dynamic inertia will affect your ability to engage and drive off from a standing start and to drive smoothly in all of the gears without constantly adding accelerator input. Steady-state is no longer "steady".

Adding a LWFW to that mix, exacerabates that situation even more. Unless you're racing, and by racing I mean drag racing, where you're basically foot-to-the-floor from the lights to the finish, I'd think a WRX FW would be the lightest I'd go, period.

Just changing out from the stock DMFW to the SMFW had a noticeable impact on the my wagon's driveability. Given that, I believe that lightening up the front side of the crank would cause the car to lose it's GT character. Like everything, YMMV.

Probably better to take this to the tech forum.

Less rotating mass (overall), increase in driveability and longevity issues.
