98quiksilvergt
I'm thinking about black and silver with a thin blue pin stripe. My seats are black with blue center from a WRX. Just thinking about it. What do you guys and ladies think? I have one week to decide. Body work starts Wednesday.

98LGTLover
Eh I'm not a fan of two tone on sedans. I think they look better all one color.

KartRacerBoy
OP, the 1980s are dead. Trans Ams are dead. Don't bring back a zombie Trans Am in subaru form. You will roast in hell eternal. Amen.
98quiksilvergt
Lol!! I'm going to do it!! Not black though. Dark charcoal on top silver on the bottum. The body line above the door handle will be the break spot. I wish I knew how to use Photoshop. Then I could see it before I do it. If I don't like it I will have plenty of silver left over to spray the whole car.
pillboy
eh... It is still ugly.
KartRacerBoy
Showed my wife a pic of a Porsche GT2 in Motorsport magazine this weekend. Black above the beltline, silver below. She agreed that it looked like a horrible parody of a 70s/80s Trans Am. Notihng good can come of this. Repent!
amp27
that really would be ugly..... like i would never ever wanna talk to you again. i would sell my car...to the scapeyard... anything but the way your gonna paint it... two tone with the cut off at mid body. door handles. 98quiksilvergt
Above the door handles over the the body line. From the side you would only see a couple inches of black under the windows. Trans am's are two doors. I don't see how you could compare a t/a to a sedan but... I have been looking at two tone photos and some of them look do terrible. But there's alot that really look great. Besides it's free. If it comes out looking like crap. I'll get another free paintjob a couple weeks later.

98quiksilvergt
Huh??
98quiksilvergt
Family owned body shop. That's why it's free. There's gallons of paint laying around that needs to be used or it's very expensive to get rid of.
kaz98gt
two tone takes it back, yes. quiksilver, i'm not sure if i can support you on this haha. I like the video amp put up though, that's a good color. I'd just go and paint the whole car one color, with like a blue undertone or something for the seats. obsidian black pearl on my 98 looks black, but in the sun there's red. beautiful
amp27
those camo vinyl wraps for things... can come in only 2x4 sheets though... have the car look like that... thats crazy
98quiksilvergt
I have a friend who is going to Photoshop it. I'll post it up tomorrow. I'm on the fence. I have seen some real nice two tones. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.
Gire
Agreed with the above posts. If you go with two tone, a black / silver combo is the only 'acceptable' answer. But it is very 20 years ago. I remember drooling over a convertable black 5.0 GT 'Stang that was custom painted with a grey lower cladding. I was about 16 years ago at the time. Ahhhh, memories. KRB will chome in with a new 1955 Buick in two tone that he saw as a teen.....
98quiksilvergt
Ok, here's what it will look like.http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd104/thrty5thsc/photo-32.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd104/thrty5thsc/photo-30.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd104/thrty5thsc/photo-29.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd104/thrty5thsc/photo-31.jpg
LGTspecB1657615261
NO. Just dont. Get rid of those wheels. Replace with a flat black wheel.Tint the windows. Possibly black out the headlights. IMO that would look hot. At least that is what I would do with that car if I had it. to each his own.
dudeondacouch
IMO... the car is already two-tone.
amp27
can you do that in a fade... like a 2-3 feet fade/zone/mix... i may like that.... or maybe the other way around.. dark on bottom.. or even back to front or front to back... with a dark candy red.. and 1 or 2 black pin stripes above the door handle... amp27
IMO... the car is already two-tone. my car is always 2 tone..... red on the top and a slow fade to brown on the bottom and then a little hint of orange coming off the quarter panels:lol:
