That is what's known as a Fummins. (Ford Cummins). There are companies that make kits to swap Cummins engines (12 and 24 valve) into Fords as a (in my opinion) better power train. That particular truck probably would have had a 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel engine in it from the factory, which wasn't known for reliability. Anyway, it's a Fummins. Pretty common in the diesel world now days. Also has an 08+ body style tailgate on the old body style truck

Right on. I was gonna say doesn't Ford still own Cummins too? I thought they just leased it out to Dodge. I know it was like this at one point but maybe after the auto industry crisis they sold it outright but not sure.

You people with the mudflap fetish are an interesting breed. ;)

I was hoping the RA's would avoid the salt spray down teh side of the car.. but now Im seeing it actually comes from the top of the front wheel well... no flaps go that high, nor would I run them

Here is my solution to leaving the silver screw tops out in the open.

Just picked up 3 packs of the license plate screw covers from autozone, and put them on top of the plastic washers included with the mudflaps. They fit quite well and hide the silver tops so it gives you a cleaner finish in the end.

Just a thought.
