rmb2485's 98 Legacy GT

Yes yes, the paint has red sparkles in the sun. They came out so good dude i get lots of compliments. It was a 20 dollar kit from autozone except don't let wrx's and sti's hate because their cars come with nice brakes we upgrade! The rims are so sick. They are a vw offset so they give my car a mean aggressive look. Problem is even after having my fenders rolled they still rub haha. Next up i have some camber bolts and maybe buying some drop springs to help too. I go nuts for gold wheels though so we'll see. Nice having someone with a car like mine:)keep me updated yo.

Here's the front

Here's the rear, notice the decal had to be put in a different spot haha

I want a car like yours! at least the calipers haha...did you have to pop them off and bleed the brakes to do the job right? or was it a simple thing you could do with just the wheel off?

you're really lucky if you're running the ej25 still, mine's been yanked somewhere along the way and has the 2.2 :( how many miles on yours?

Do yourself a favor and invest in some jack stands. I'm not a doctor, but I'm fairly certain they are less expensive than limb reattachment surgery.

sorry i'll cut it out :p rmb, any plans in the works soon?

Plenty of plans, but somehow I'm still unpacking and setting things up a month after moving into the new house so I haven't had any time for the Subaru.

+1 my friend crushed his leg. don't be like my friend, he was never a bright one, and it cost him when it came to safety

congrats on the new house man! that's definitely priority, as long as your gt is the dd and she's running fine, no need to rush anything

It only required the wheels off. It took me like 7 hours because some of mine were rusted really bad and i had to grind it off and clean them good. If yours are fairly clean it would probably only take a couple hours. Do 1 wheel at a time. You windex it really good and then let it dry fairly good between coats. I took mine to the car wash later that day and sprayed them really hard and it sticks like a charm

  • 1 month later...

New toy came today; 10" Polk db1040 and sealed box. Now I just have to find some time to get it and my four channel amp installed.

but in 1998 subaru started using suitable head gaskets and therefore the last year of 2nd gens do not carry as bad a headgasket problem as priors

Great looking car though I love the leather seats!

Couple small things in the last week or so.

Picked up a used Thule roof rack for almost nothing...

And replaced the ugly woodgrain trim pieces with black ones...

Incubus is fantastic btw.

Agreed. I need to get Sirius in this car tough; that CD has been playing for probably two months now.

Where did you pick up the black trim pieces?

Traded a local guy for my woodgrain ones.

Finally got around to some regular maintenance this morning. New engine oil, oil filter, plugs, wires and air filter are in.

It definitely starts easier and idles smoother with the new plugs and wires. Hopefully I'll see an increase in gas mileage too.

Another thing you forgot is that we live in PA and no longer can get the cool Black DARE plates BUT being we are both forest green we can get the Green Wildlife plate with the chillin' tiger for $50. Also considering a subaru is an "outdoorsy" car it would be perfect. LOL

I think this forest green color is great. Not that I have any bias towards it.

Mine's way better than either of those...

So I've been thinking about selling this thing. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just not driving it nearly as much as I thought I would and I've got the itch for something with a turbo.

I've only had it for eight or nine months, so I'd need to get somewhere around $3,500 out of it. Anyone local (or close enough) and interested?

I'd like to be able to say I would be. But all my money is tied up in my LGT right now. It's going to be listed for sale very, very soon.
